  • I am really appreciating this being put on Youtube because we can't view BBC productions here (Canada) except through special TV channels. And it occurs to me that we have our own ancient people here, some were hunters (Plains Indian) and some were gatherers (Iroquois Indian). Fascinating stuff!

  • Are they certain that was a mesolithic boat? Are the certain Carnac was the work of hunter/gatherers? Does it make sense that they would be aware of the farmers and erect the stone rows in defiance? The problem/fascinating aspect of pre-history is that it's unrecorded. All we can do is speculate. Thanks to the archaeologists we can be somewhat informed in our speculations and not remain wholly reliant on such things as psychic energy sensations.

  • there were three men ,came out of the west their fortune for to try,,,,and these three men made a soulem vow John BarleyCorn should die......the songs tell the story if you listen.....

  • I like the sly "Brave new World" reference

  • This documentary is walking on a very thin line.. always remain sceptical.. but its very intriguing :)

  • @joneij1 That's always the case with everything any expert claims. But they show a lot of things I've never seen or heard before, even though I've read and watched quite a lot on this subject.

  • @Yora21 I agree with that. Great photography too!

  • they went underwater & found a... boat. lol.

  • @MrBoogzi It might be the first mesolithic submarine, whatever it was yellow or not^^

  • Love this! :) This chap is awesome!

  • @MILITARYRCR is that a scotish accent?

  • @MrBillcale

    yes.

  • Of course right when he releases the arrow the second time my screen times out and I'm sitting here like an idiot thinking they were building up the suspense.

  • HOW can they haul the stones?

  • @Radians51

with great difficulty. they'd almost certainly have used a large number of slaves (human and animal). there's a diagram in a book of my to show how they lifted them..a lot of timber was used and rope (of course) and something a bit like a raft with wheels so they wouldn't be dragging it. i can't explain it too well and i can't show you but i hope you've got some idea from what i've said...as jumbled up as it is.

  • Absolutely brilliant... Thanks a lot for that :)
