  • THE ULTIMATE BATTLE SONG.

  • @cmatthys: HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD BROTHER! couldn't have said it any better. I just saw them last night in Jersey. Probably my 30th or so time seeing them live, and they NEVER let me down. CLUTCH RULES!

  • Clutch for the win!!

  • Can't be sure, but I think this is from the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. If so, I was at this show....broken ankle and all.

  • you got to see these guys in concert to really appreciate there style! Fucking amazing drummer u just got to see live.++++++++++++++

  • My favorite song by one of my favorite bands! You guys are amazing!

  • I thought they stopped playing this song live...I saw them at the Metron in Harrisburg Pa. before anyone knew who they were...bought them drinks, sat on their speakers as they played and smoke a joint with them on their bus...damn I miss the old days!!!!

  • INSTANT mosh pit...the whole fuckin place!!

  • Holy shit i got old! How did this band get by me?

  • I've seen it in concert and it is the baddest ass song live Clutch is my favorite band and they are cool as hell when you meet them in person thats coming from a rock and roll outlaw

  • I did hear that they quit playing that song live cuz of too many people getting hurt in the mosh. Jesus. Must be true. I havent heard em play it live since 2000 or so. Does anyone know different???

  • @whiteboy0077 Ya, that's what Niel says, he doesn't like the violence it brings out of people. TBH I think it's because he's protecting his voice and growling like that towards the end hurts it.

  • @Towelietowel I think this song honestly is poking fun at macho attitudes.

  • no one can talk shit about clutch cuz theyre badass. Theyre a great mix of rock and metal.

  • OH man, to be in that crowd @ 5:14, fucking just went nuts!

  • seeing them in three days

  • HEY THERE FELLA

  • On the sixth day GOD created Clutch

  • since my last post i drove a long dist. both times to see clutch live twice....it was fuckin

    great.....

  • 9:30 Club rules ALL. Period. My first Clutch show was at the old 9:30 Club on F Street back in '92. Anyone remember the smell of that place? Very distinctive. Good times.

  • I wasn't crazy for this band at first but I barrowed my friends Clutch CD and I was like on my God this shit is awesome and I became a fan! Love the end of this song...COME ON MOTHERFUCKER, COME ON MOTHERFUCKER, COME ON MY MOTHERFUCKER LET'S THROW DOWN!!!!!

  • I can't communicate with anyone who doesn't like clutch.

  • thats how you hold a mic

  • 5 dislikes = you meant to see 'Doo-Wap' by Hanson.

  • Awesome!

  • clutch is the led zeppelin of the these days to me...love em

  • brilliant...at times.reminds me in a strange way of my second favorite band.and the two are polar opposites!.

  • Whenever anyone asks me what CLUTCH is about, I send them to this video and tell them "all you need to do is watch from 5:12 on.." it remains one of the most powerful effects on a group of humans I've ever seen in my 38 years of life.

  • Was this at 1rst ave in MPLS? Looks like it. saw them there in 1995, just dug the old school cd's out. Great stuff! The new stuff just doesn't sound the same. Never had the beard back then! Just a trucker hat (way before they were cool) and attitude!

  • i fucking love this song !! makes me want to fight :)

  • CLUTCH FOCKIN' WHOOPS ASS!!!

  • Best band you've never heard of.....oddly enough tickets in michigan go quik! One of the best shows i"ve seen

  • True to some point. A bar I used to frequent had a large Clutch collection on the jukebox. Needless to say everytime I went there I played an assortment of Clutch. My buddie said I like howw they sound but its not "bar music". I still think hes gay for saying that but to each is their own. Not to mention the fact that I am glad CLUTCH has the fanbase they do cause they play in 3-500 copasity clubs with mostly cool people. Thats how I like it. Way rather see them play at a smaller club.

  • god i wish they still played this live

  • and on the 8th day god decided the world needed music and said unto the earth "THOU SHALL HAVE CLUTCH!"

  • in resopnse to CoreSceneKiller comment 1 year ago,,The reason why no one can say a bad thing about CLUTCH is because they are masters at what they do..Every song they do kicks ass,.

  • Neil Fallon is God. Period. 4 years ago i saw Clutch live, front row... one of Neil's beard hairs got stuck to my shirt BAM later that night i had a 3 way. Think for yourself. Trust no one.

  • Damn, this band is amazing! I like every new song I hear. Well, there hell have I been and they? lol

  • I heard of Clutch 10 years ago. My brother in law turn me onto them. We went and bought this CD and he told me to play this song. Needless to say I have been a Clutch fan ever since.

Just about every damn time I play this CD while I'm drinkin there is fuckin bound to be a fight. You can take that to the bank

  • good stuff clutch

  • No band has this many good songs, every album is an epic front to back. No bullshit rock and roll. No pretense, no hype, no extra gimmicks or fake personalities. Real rock and roll that doesn't suck. It never tries to appeal or fit in or beg to be listened to. This is the standard to which all rock is compared once you are a Clutch fan.

  • @cmatthys damn skrate...

  • I go to clutch shows and get all Lodi wild nutty.

  • PURE

  • KICK ASS!!!!!

  • ya these guys are sick live! This song here makes me wanna throw on a pair of overalls and a truck drivers hat. Spit a couple of times into a spitoon and kick somebody in the ass.!!

  • Saw it live one out of the two times I saw Clutch @ Bogarts in CIncy. It was FUCKIN" CRAZY

  • Saw them play this in Austin in the late 90s

  • they dont like big record companies so they just play live most of the time

  • @xXjokerXx94

nope, they can't play it for insurance reasons live. Every time it turns to a riot, look it up if you wish..

  • @TheSilentTAGGER buy the music!!!

  • why would they make a video that would not get airplay? "come on motherfucker!"

  • going to see these guys tonight..going to be a badass show. the house of blues in boston is suweet...

  • dec.30th house of blues it's a shame they won't be playing this song. I remember when they used to. I think the last time I saw them play this song was at mama kins opening for manson the night before halloween in 92 93 somewhere around there.

  • The only time I have ever heard them play this tune live is when I seen them on tour for Transnational Speedway.

I have been to every clutch show I could possibly go to around here and never have they played it again live. Not even when people are screaming for it, you get nothing.

Not sure why exactly, it is one of their most powerful tunes ever, fuckin' classic as classic can get when discussing the almighty clutch!

  • Oh Clutch,how I love thee!!!

  • Seeing Clutch on December 30th in Boston...cant wait !!!

This is what rock music is...

  • Me too, they're playing the whole second album in its entirety.

  • Awesome! What more can I say? Fucking Awesome!

  • I just saw Clutch this Saturday at Irving Plaza in NYC. It would have been awesome if they played this song but even without it the show was insane. I hope someone filmed it.

  • its a pity they never play this any more

  • They aren't allowed b/c insurance wont cover it if they did.

Thats the truth... To many fights, so sad.. BAD ASS TUNE!!

  • This line from 'Careful With That Mic' might explain a bit. People grow up and change their views.

    Binge and Purge - '93

    Careful - '01

Now Both You And I Know That The Past Ten Years Have Been Rather Intense.

I'm Ashamed To Admit That I've Been Fooled By The Seductions Of Violence.

People Walking Around With Ugly Auras.

At Times I'm Even Tempted To Seek The Advice Of Dr. Laura,

    But I Ignore Her.

  • 5:14

Holy shit, that is one of the most intense crowd-reactions I've ever seen.

  • Meh the original version is way better. I could listen to the climax of that song over, over, and over. They cut the best part of the song way too fucking short.

  • Back in the day at Hammer Jacks, this shit was off the hook!!!!!

  • BREAK SHIT!!!

  • It's not illegal, it's that the band feels partly responsible for the sack of puppies that was stomped to death in the pit, and the Amish people that got mobbed later, and forced to use cell phones calling for help. Could be the bus load of crippled kittens this song killed too. It's that powerful.

  • No doubt I feel the urge to punch kittens right now! This is my all-time favorite anger song.

    --Terdberglar lives!!

  • That PIT rivals any I've seen from Slayer or even lamb of God.

Clutch is heavy without even trying to be.

  • Good memories, you were never sure if Neil was an escapee from a lunatic asylum or just fucked up. What a set of lungs tho...C!

  • This song is about sitting in traffic and the need to take a dumpie.

  • i unfortunately have noticed clutch firstly last week and i admit they are awesome. immediately i purchased an album. Great!! regards from germany

  • Has anyone ever noticed that no one can say a bad thing about clutch? No one can say "Oh that band sucks" The closest you get to it is "They're not my style, but they're still good" Or "I never heard them" -five minutes later- "FUCKING AMAZING!" another Clutch fan is made

  • @CoreSceneKiller AMEN my brother, PURE ROCK FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I don't mean the albulm. I feel like an American when I listen to Clutch.

  • @PianoManKD . . .

    @CoreSceneKiller  communist.

  • you got shit fucked up if you think Clutch sucks! Never trust a white man driving a black man, hes saving all his voodoo for you!

  • @PianoManKD ...You're a fucking idiot.

  • @2SnatchHappy Riiiight. An idiot for having an opinion different than yours. I can't imagine who you voted for.

  • @PianoManKD no ur an idiot becuz you obviously wouldnt know good music if it died in your house.

  • @PianoManKD

This from a guy who posts Billy Joel and Phil Collins videos. I can feel a lame response to this comment coming in the air tonight...oh lord.

  • @CoreSceneKiller my friend logan says different but he likes avenged sevenfold

  • @coolmikevids99 haha.

  • ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY CLUTCH!!!!!!!

  • now that,s a fuck'en PIT

  • I heard this is one of the best songs that gets the crowd going, I think I actually heard that a bunch of fans once jumped onto the stage and started causing a huge fight on the stage during the "come on motherfucker" part

  • It gets annoying at shows how many people request this song at every break but goddamnit I would love to hear it LIVE!

  • Come on...Rear your ugly head to me!

  • Wow. That shit DOES explode at 5:15! LOL. I've seen Clutch 4x in the past 5 years and I've not seen them play this once. The one off Transnational that they seem to play consistently is A Shogun Named Marcus. They'll sometimes play Monster Trucks, but that seems to be rare.

Clutch's material is so prolific they have so much to choose from. Plus I don't think they're as pissed off anymore. However, I'd love to seem em' play it.

  • I is not legal to play this song live anymore, somebody died in this song during a fight!

  • I remember seeing an interview with Neil recently in which he said he kinda regrets writing that song now because of all the swearing lol

  • I hope Neil didn't say that because the swearing adds to the anger of the song.

  • best kind of pit ever, none of that hardcore dancer shit, fuckin punchin air like pussys, just good hard shoves, nice body flowin and crowd surfin, fuckin love clutch! \m/

  • clutchc kills it thanks big D

  • seen em like 10 times, NEVER have they played this (my favorite) song....

  • 5:15 and the shit blows up

    thats great

  • THIS SONG ROCKS

  • I said hey there fella.. who's soul are you torturing now?

  • Whos soul are you tormenting now

  • what do you mean? i love clutch! lol

  • when i saw clutch perform this song in 93 or 94, the pit was 10 times crazier than this one. i've been in some mean pits.i've never been a big guy but back in the day, i didn't give a fuck, but clutch doing binge and purge was the one pit that i saw and thought "hhhmmmmm, maybe i don't want to get in THAT."

i woulda been killed. they weren't moshing, they were brawling.

  • Shame you'll never here this live again

  • ive heard it a few times live already, then again ive seen clutch over 20 times. so much newer material now they dont need to play old aggressive songs. they still throw in a few old zingers to surprise usually. i'm going to see them in dec also.

  • Last time through they played alot and I mean alot of the older stuff hardly a tune newer than slow hole it was like time travel. I fucking loved it.

  • What year did you record this?

  • Oh shit, 1999.

    I don't know why I missed that.

  • i herd somewhere this song is actually makin fun of over agressive metal bands it kinda makes sense

  • clutch was an aggressive band...they were DC hardcore!

  • LOVE clutch

someone said this song was about me

    LOVE IT

  • holy shit.....thats the stuff!!!

  • i was at this show...cracked 2 ribs in the pit. kinda ruined the night but i stayed til the end of the show...just up by the bar lol.

  • yeah, cause youre just that hardcore, huh. i think it makes you a fucking idiot actually.

  • I was turned on to these guys back in 91 , hell back then you could'nt hardly get your hands on their music, BINGE AND "PURGE" was the first song of theirs I ever heard and it still lands a punch everytime I listen to it,," Pronge was another good one frum that time zone !! Freaks and Hippies !!

  • I've only heard of clutch about 2 years ago, but I have over 400 clutch songs (not including company band, bakerton group) and I've driven hundreds of miles to see them. (3 times) u cant hate them

  • Saw them play this back around 95, they opened for Manson on their first tour. Been digging these boys since early 90's and they just get better and better.

  • JoelMonroe Neil said in an interview that they don't play it anymore because of the violent profanity at the end but he said it was a shame cause he really liked the song. and he wrote the song when he was 19.

  • The part "Reel your ugly fucking head in i'll put it on a platter!" cracks me up. i saw them live a couple months ago in st louis...my first consert too! :D

  • I've seen them in detroit alot and they haven't played this song live in a long long time. don't know about a kid dying but the pit for this was amazing

  • they never play this song live anymore :(

  • i heard they just stopped playing the song live because some kid died in detroit

  • hey aaron your a fag :-P but this video is awesome

  • this is proof of how heavy clutch use to be!!

  • yeah dude, but there new stuff is awesome too...just a new kind of awesome

  • Hey little fella!!! who's soul are you tormenting now?

  • This band fuckin rocks. Can't wait to see them in A.C. in August.

  • I don't get how this band isn't more recognized. Awesome stuff

  • WOW GREAT!!

  • THE TRUTH OF THE HUMAN CONDITION!!!!

  • seen this played once out of six times Ive seen them the crowd went crazy

  • everytime i watch the end of this i get chills running through my whole body. then after the video i go bash things in caveman style. CLUTCH FOREVER

  • everytime i watch the end of this i get chills running through my whole body. then after the video i go bash things in caveman style. CLUTCH FOREVER

  • combesian, dont feel bad. at least you discovered them. i felt the same why when i first saw them live. I recommend looking up all of their music. all their albums sound different but all Kick Ass!!! THE MIGHTY CLUTCH LIVES ON!!!

  • I've just gotten into this band - looking forward to seeing them live in May...

I don't know they stayed under my radar all these years... wish I could've seen back in the day.

Mosh pits take it out of me in my old age... Rah!

  • I love this kind of music have done for years and yet its only recently I have got a hold of them!

  • the way it is man. you said it. CLUTCH IS THE SHIT.

  • OLD SCHOOL. MY SCHOOL!!!!!

  • THIS HITS HOME. LOVE IT!!!

  • I would freakin' kill to hear this song live! ARGH!

  • Got goose bumps right before the end of the song. Remember seeing a show and looking at my buddy right before they end and thinking I was about to die because you KNEW it was on.

  • I meant "throwing down" instead of "getting down" LOL

  • Clutch Fans + Binge & Purge + Alcohol= Mother Fuckers "getting down"! I have been to 2 Clutch shows now and the crowd is rough as it is without them playing binge and purge. It was a good decision for them to stop playing it live IMO.

  • God I miss the old days.

  • This is so my "I am about to fuck shit up if you fuckers don't leave me alone" song. heheh. My roomie grows VERY quiet when she hears that bassline.

  • One of the best bands live! See them!!!

  • Seen them. Twice.

  • seen then 8 times.... heard them play this once.... in the pit the whole show.m ;D

  • yeah, just fucking awesome... i beat up myself listening to it

  • lol i like to humiliate myself when listening to it.

  • lol

  • classic!!!!

  • COME ON MOTHERFUCKER LETS THROW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks! I needed that!

  • THESE mofos bring it, what a CLASSIC! never gets old timeless

  • Why the fuck are people complaining about the quality. Enjoy it, like shit at least the sound quality is audible.

  • i agree man thers hardly any good quality clutch live videos so get used to it

  • Who cares about the audio or video quality? The fact is...Clutch stopped playing this song live years ago due to the violence it created. So, this is a nice, rare find. Now you can mosh around in your bedroom and beat yourself up. Jesus, with all the billions of content on the internet I just cannot figure out whiny bitches. Move on if you don't like it. But, please, just remember to shut the fuck up!!

  • Did this video really cause that much violence that they stopped playin it?

  • Not the video, numbnuts, the song. And yes, I've seen them play this song in concert and yes, it makes the crowd lose their minds.

  • I've seen them twice and wondered why I've not heard this song live, I guess now I know.I could just imagine the crowd during this song.

  • its not violence, its called love for music and having a awsome time at a show, I've only seen them play this once live, it is fucking great!

  • how about you suck one

  • Did you know she's a squirter??

  • yea its not my video asswipe i just think you suck and i really dont think that my mom would be into little nerdy faggots who play world or warcraft all day

    I love you

  • other bands have to beg to get a reaction like that from the crowd. but it comes pretty natural for clutch.

  • They are truly awesome...saw them in glasgow a couple of months ago...they kicked ass...one of the best gigs i've seen

  • i saw them on my 21 first birthday across the street from wrigley feild. It was sooo awesome when i was walkin to another bar i saw them practicing and with the door way they let me stand there for like 20 minutes so i got see them by myself 4 hours before everyone else got there. best birthday ever

  • These guys "kick"! It's virutally impossible to get a ticket to see them in Colorado these days, which amazes me.

  • I hadn't heard that before. It it were true, it would be a damn shame. I've been going to C! shows for 15 years and they never played it that much after Elephant Riders was released. Got to see them do it in Richmond, Va on the 1st half of their Blast Tyrant tour along with Heirloom. Yes Heirloom.

  • It is quite possible someone did die when they played this song. Because, sometime after elephant riders was released, Tim Sult played the opening riff to this song at our local venue and the club pullled the plug on them. Straight up turned off all the power to the club for a few mins. After that I never heard them play this song live.

  • Yeah, I heard someone got killed during this song at a show, so they don't play it anymore. Shame.
