I think the flute was great, but the violin performance was mediocre. People who think this was great should check out the performance by Suwanai Akiko also on Youtube, which is truly wonderful.
This is the most famous Chinese violin concerto. Composed by young students at the Shanghai Conservatory in the mid of 1950's, this concerto titled "Butterfly Lovers" has been serving the culture messenger to the world.

I love this song very much in particularly when I think about those 2 students sharing their hearts to compose thi beautiful song.
But when I was told they were encountered the tragedy during the cultural revolution. It makes me sad...
