Hey, i know the feeling, i just passed my HAM Technician test the other night, waiting for my callsign to be assigned now. I dont know what kind of radio i'm gonna get either. Money is tight, i might just have to use the radio down at the radio club i'm joining for the time being.
Congrat's bro! I think its awesome to see you succeed in a dream you have. I love ham radio, and its going to be a blast for you. Keep in touch and let me know what you've been up to lately. 73, kd7sjt
Great to see a new ham i have been a ham for a little over a year and i when from tech to extra in less than 6 months good luck from kj4aqv kevin in kentucky.Look at my videos hamtalker2007 here on youtube enjoy you are doing great hope to talk to you soon 73.
Congrats! I am 34 and have been doing network design for 10 years before I finally got into amateur radio. I'm taking my test monday. Great to see amateur radio continuing on to new generations. Catch you on the airwaves.
greatest thing about ham radio operators are when comunication is to ever go down. the only people to rely on are yall. i have a radio scanner thats able to pick up some of the amateur radio signals.
I must say! Congratulations! After 50 years in this Amateur radio nothing brings as much joy as to watch a radio with tubes still glowing in the dark....And a young person coming into the hobby.....For you I wish it will bring you the friends even jobs and fun it has brought to me over all these years....It is my hope to talk one of these days over the air Peace and Good Jer
Ahoy Maytee ! When ya get bored of the ham scene yoo should be considerin' bein' a radio pirate on the open seas ! Git yerself a seaworthy ship and head out to sea past the international line where none of the landlubbers can git-ya! Yoo'l need a Mighty transmitter and a transmitter tower, (yer local tv station probly has one-o-them.
Quik Lad ! Come on over to the swash-bucklin side of the spectrum before the hammys have-ya werin a bright orange vest with blinkin lights on it. AAARGH !
Hey, good for you! How long did you study? What sort of study resources did you use?
I've been meaning to try for my license for quite some time now...just haven't gotten around to it yet. I've got a little background in CB and I know my way around a circuit board, so I figure I've got at least a little going for me!
