hindi is a construction of british-orientalists and hindu revivalists, its not a native/natural language of India, let alone punjab. Punjabi, especially its majha area -lahore/amritsar- dialects r older than sanskrit itself. hindi and urdu r both foreign to punjab. to call call charda punjab hindi speaking is the same as calling lehnda punjab urdu speaking.
