Not politically we don't. Of the 24 governors we've had in the past century 22 of them were democrats. And 18 of the last 24 senators we're democrats South Carolina was the first state to succeed we were the last, and that decision was made because we we're sandwiched in between the two most powerful states in the south during the civil war. Comparing NC to SC would be like comparing SC with PA.

i think Cenk was making a larger case that goes beyond them not being "politically correct" -- for instance, if you were to substitute these guys saying it with Rush Limbaugh saying it, I think Cenk would still have brought it up. he seems to think it is "morally incorrect," something you simply dont say in 2009.

Earlier in the 19th century, in Europe, the jews were not allowed to own their own businesses, so many of them went into finance and banking. Then it became a family tradition, as knowledge was passed down from generation to generation. Learn some history, Cenk. Stereotypes aren't just made up out of thin air. Not politically we don't. Of the 24 governors we've had in the past century 22 of them were democrats. And 18 of the last 24 senators we're democrats South Carolina was the first state to succeed we were the last, and that decision was made because we we're sandwiched in between the two most powerful states in the south during the civil war. Comparing NC to SC would be like comparing SC with PA.

Deminted isn't a fiscal conservative - he just doesn't want to spend any money in or for South Carolina. If a republican president wants to go to war, he is happy to spend money like there is no tomorrow and with no oversight. However, anything that might help the citizens of South Carolina is a no-no. HOWEVER, combine this story about Demint - who does speak with a southern accent - with the fact that another story today was a southern Justice of the Peace denying marriage to an interracial couple, combined with the fact that ( coincidentally?) - the south took a stand against having Obama as president - combined with the fact that Cenk does accents at the drop of a hat, I have no problem with this.
