I was lucky enough to see him live in Oklahoma City in the 70's; he was the opening act for the Doobie Brothers or Steely Dan? It was a special moment of seeing someone very gifted, with just his small band and awesome voice. It was held at the civic center which has better acoustics than other concert places in Oklahoma City. It's too bad there isn't film footage of his early concerts?

This is my absolute favorite Spheeris song! It exudes a mysterious and hauntingly beautiful vibe...especially the chromatic flute runs and the ever so slight dissonace in the acoustic gtr. Reminds me of ultra blue summer skies and kites :)
