is it possible to connect a mic that needs phantom 48v power? and if not can you plug to the mic input of the mox the output of a mic preamp (used also to get the 48v) ty
About to have this on a home trial. Used to playing complicated keyboards but noy synths. Does anyone know of a teaching aid describing in detail what the various functions are for and how to use them? Thanks

I love your reviews! They are always right to the point and very well made. I've viewed five of your reviews now and they do not disappoint. You are a class act. Great job and thank you for these very useful reviews/demonstrations!
Hi great reviews, i have a mox6 now, can you help me make a big brass sound, i used to have ASR10 ensonique which had Brass patch "Miami Brass" i cant seem to get any where near this kind of sound, i need a usable brass sound for live performance. hope you can help .Al
i heard the organs at the store and i was sold i would just like you to play it and tell me if you would reccomend it for a church board cause i bought a fantom g and its not getting me what i need
Why do all the latest synths from the big Japanese companies appear to be manufactured from the same material as yoghurt tins? This latest one looks like it would blow off its synth stand if you sneezed too loudly as well.
Finally, IMHO, I think synth evolution has reached an absolute impasse, not heard anything new for some years now...

Ok, for the £s, it's a Very Details Synth. 8 Parts per Voice? Few! But yes, the Notches during live knob-tweak is appalling in this day n age where promices were made regarding the apprehensive switch over from Analog, to Digital. The LFO Waveform Sequencer is incredible. Right, I'm off to look up "Magic Fairy Castle"!
@MarcJX8P actually you can edit all parameters via the front panel - I since discovered - although its a much more pleasurable experience via the editor
great review as always, various websites hint at the mox6 having organ modelling onboard or something of like-- any chance you could show us a bit of this? very curious to see how good the sounds are / how flexible it can be. Can't wait for part 2!
The 80's magic fairy castle children's voiceover effect is clearly a big selling point. Also, that's the steppiest filter knob I've heard in a long time... The vocoder was suprisingly lush sounding, though.
Gotto be something on that VST mode?! give em a call for us Nick! Would be neat thing to load up a vst instrument and apply effects & stuff from the Mox.

It's great that you showed the technical part of the synth, and not just talking blabla about some very personal things like keyboard feel.

@foofeo addendum: looks like its a bundled softsynth that you control remotely, not onboard. any onboard organ at all?!?!

@foofeo yep there are a couple of bundled VSTs one of which is the organ - there are organ sounds too though

@SquareWaveHeaven yes it is rather - I think its down to the interpolation of the encoder though - go fast and it steps, slow and it doesnt (so much)
