cattle slaughtering is not cruelty. it is Muslim's religion way of sacrifice animal. i know u white Christians have left the religion but Muslims are truthful and devoted to Islam. you may not know that Halal meet is so big market, that even local superstores in many European countries have Halal meet.

again I would say,it is not cruelty,it is Islamic ritual & scientifically proved correct and healthy way of killing animal and to get a healthy & hygienic meet without contaminated with blood

It is you who is showing ignorance by claiming:

In other words, you are trying to say that all Australian butchers treat their animals nicely before slaughtering them, and indonesians treat them with cruelty.

You failed to realise that treating animals with kindness is part of Muslim faith. I wouldn't be surprised if those cruel people were non Muslims.

@Tunnel0f Love I didn't claim all Australian butchers treated cattle "nicely" before dispatching them. And I didn't suggest that Moslems were cruel people. Some are, and most are not. Those broad generalisations are absurd. But a blanket denial does you no credit. I note that the Indonesian President has ordered an investigation into the problem. He obviously is taking it seriously. Relating as good neighbours is, as I suggested earlier, about recognising our differing values.

We have to get our Indonesian brothers and sister to understand that we respect their requirement to prepare meat according to the Moslem requirements, but they, too, must understand that are appalled by the unspeakable cruelty. Quran says:

"Forbidden to you (for food) are that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death;"

[Qur'an Chapter 5 Verse 3]

... so we don't need your filthy redneck code of conduct that tells us what to do. We have our Allah guiding us in every way of life. The fact that those recent cruelties were taking place is a violation of Islamic law, as seen in the verse quoted above. I don't think they are even Muslim.
