All the people dissing this, this is about as heavy as you got in 65' when it came out, this is proof that Lemmy was at the front lines before everybody
I'm reading Lemmy's autobiography now so that's how I ran across this song. I always knew the song from the Herman's Hermits (kinda scary being a fan of the Hermits AND Motörhead). I didn't know that it was a Kinks song. Really weird thinking of Lemmy playing it! By the way, it's spelled Vicars, not Vickers. Thanks for letting me hear it!
@MrsButterflyTattoo That's how I came accross this song as well :) And by the way, the band went from being The Rockin' Vicars to The Rockin' Vickers in order to get more gigs, because, let's be honest - who would think that a band called 'The Rockin' Vicars' is any good?
@MrsButterflyTattoo actually he is correct.it was 'vicars' in the early days that was changed to 'Vickers' in order to get gigs and a recording contract.as this is a recording it's 'Vickers' here's the sleeve
@scotsmaninusa Cool. All I knew was what Lemmy said in his book. He didn't mention about the name change (or if he did I overlooked it.). Sorry to sound like a know-it-all! Learn somethin' new every day....

I'm guessing that Lemmy is the one on the front right. Am I right?
I think I know god when I see 'em!!

This picture shows the first line-up... Not the one that recorded this song and has Lemmy with it... So there's no Lemmy in this picture.

Actually, that's Lem on the right, kneeling in this picture.
