I'm not Japanese, nor their descendent. I'm Brazilian, and here in Brazil they called the series "Patrulha Estelar" back in the 80's (something like "Star Patrol").
And I never knew who was the real idealizer of the "Wave Motion Gun", but he (or she) was resposible for the creation of the most formidable weapon of the sci-fi world of all times. The firing of the gun itself is a movie within the movie.
Simply love this movie. Loved watching the animated series growing up. Made me want to learn the great Japanese language so I can have a better appreciation of what's going on as well as their culture. Can you do the whole thing please? Some of here in the U.S. are not able to obtain it. Can you load more - please?
Exciting! I remember being a young boy in the early 1980's, catching the animated show after school. Brings back memories. Now I have to find that DVD somehow here in Canada.
Thank you so much for this. I am a very big fan of the original anime series and movies. Even though I don't understand Japanese, I have seen the movie and sort of knew what was almost being said. This has to be one of my most favorite scenes of the movie.
