@MarkMck1994 I thought that it's not forbidden to have telescopic batons in the UK, only that you are not allowed to carry them in public. But I can be wrong, I'm no expert in common law. I've heard that the statutes regarding weapon carrying are quite strict in the UK...

Yes, the UK laws against weapons are the strictest you will find worldwide... In a way is actually a good thing.

@MarkMck1994 If i remember it correctly, you can carry only a small folding knife up to a certain blade length if you don't want to commit a crime in the UK. After all, a knife is very effective tool and I almost can't imagine my life without my trusted Victorinox.

But the problem is, criminals probably won't follow these laws. I think that a little easement for law.abiding citizens wouldn't do any harm (for example to allow OC spray, which is very effective defensive tool)

@TakeOneRewind You've probably already figured out, but still. If you swing open it too hard, tubes will lock tight. To close it, you have to strike with the extended part againgst solid material vertically. Next time, use less powerful opening swing

@shizbazki Hopefully after a year you have researched some history to recognize your mistake. Cosh or Kosh has been used to describe a number of truncheon/club type weapons. The earlier ones (sometimes at least this long) being wood or whalebone. Many were cat gut or rope wound, especially by sailors. Traditionally they did not collapse but there is no reason why they couldn't in modern times. An important feature is a ball or 2. Before being a smart ass at least know what you are talking about.

Couple of points; 1: This is a made offensive weapon (therefore illegal to own in the UK, just like a gun without a license), 2: Unless its a cheap quality one (by €22 no suprise, normal Monadnock £85) they are made from cold extrusion not tempered, 3: it still bloody hurts when you strike something hard rubber or none,

Right on the bottom of your Baton will be a screw thing if its anything like mine unscrew it and there will be like a mini pair a tweasers or how ever you spell it lol, just close them in a little bit they may be too far apart. Dont close them too much as the metal part of it wont wont in the handle. I will make a quick video on this when i get a spare min.

The Monadnock which I use, I had to buy the case for an extra £22.

If that baton in the video hit a lamp for instance, it would bend straight away.

The Monadnock's and ASP's have been tested to lift cars up just by using the baton strength alone.
