Shad is on another level and is rooted in the true tradition of hip-hop. I don't think its right to label him as an "artist" if you compare him to the "artist's" of are time like lil wayne or really any "pop" artist, who really don't give a shit about craft, just making another quick $. He is really a genuine rapper and genuine person, you can just tell by his work, he puts a whole hell of a lot of heart into it.
