  • and O shit i live in lithuania and im dead SHIT

  • World fin :( all dead

  • tell that to michelle bachmann

  • First statement in the video blew my mind; "at the poles... it's cold."

  • 8:10 OH CRAP. I live in New Jersey

  • I'm sorry, but am I the only one who thought of the cartoon "Pirates of Dark Water" when he said dark water? lol

  • Hi! I am from the Philippines, here in Luzon, the position of East/west/North/South had already changed, the temperature become cooler not like before always sweating. The factor that cause this is the changes in latitude and tilting of Earth' position. Freezing climate of this planet might be possible if volcanoes around the world will erupt violently. The smokes will cause blanket in earth's atmosphere and may lower the global temperature.

  • If permafrost is permament, why'd you say it thaws? :l

  • why the land of the world`s frosted??

  • that's why trees are so important cycling water vapor like a coolgardie safe ,

  • Insulting condescending fear mongering, logical fallacies laced self-serving, pointless BS video.

This contains all the most commonly conveyed pre-conceived ineptitudes conveyed through popular, uneducated mass media.

Nothing new here, the same old tired "arguments" being shoved down the collective throats of the gullible masses.

I won't even try to refute any of the "points/facts" stated since it would take way more than a puny 500 characters limit allows and be a total waste of my time.

  • this video made me think wtf have we done to this world really i dont wanna fucking die :S

  • @TheOnlyDevice we'll than you are an ignorant moron. you don't want to die? get over it. this is the future of earth, there is nothing we can do to stop it.

  • @NsrSince01 and you sir are a idiot no one wants to die so stop posing like you dont god you stupid trolls get me so mad heres a tip 1.get a life and a girl lose your virginity and stop argueing shame you cant because your about 12 good day

  • Oh my goD! were doomed!

  • wats the good news then? We are doomed to meld the ice then? Dem polor caps and ices sho are purdidy, and interasting too! Nice film!

  • Yes,earth has recovered many times from natural disasters on massive scales,BUT recovery is 100-1000's of years.Industrial waste is steady, the planet needs TIME (destoying her tools isn't helping). We need, and will, artificially convert CO'2 to O'2 someday. Whats that city planet in "Star Wars"...'courisant'.great vision mr.lucas.I can see earth being like that, many thousands of years from now.OMG,i am a dork.

  • sombody knows if is it possible to know the title of original soundtrack of this documentary..??or the composer's name??

  • Instead of just measuring temperature, it might be informative to measure global heat energy. For instance, if an ice sheet melts, it's transferring cool water into the ocean, which balances some of the temperature. However, we have lost some of our "cold" reserve and overall greatly increased the overall heat energy of the Earth's crust. I wonder how bad things will get once we have depleted this "cold reserve"...

  • ru a good kisser?

    1 hold ur breath

2 go on to another video

3 add this comment but still holding you r breath

4 did you make it if you did then ur a good kisser ru a good kisser

yay I made it =D and once I post i'll breath!

  • It`s bullshit. This film show only period from 1980 to 2005. Why it doesn`t show temperature attitude from last few centuries? I.e. at the middleages temperatures was extremly high and there was les ice on the northpole.

  • @ZarembaPrzemek

The Medieval Warming Period was discovered to be a regional rise in temperatures, as published in an exhaustive study in 1998. The trends in *global* temperatures reflect no significant rise in temperatures until the 20th century.

  • Some friends claim that c02 DOESN'T trap heat or cause global warming? Where can I find the truth? Does it or doesn't it?

  • @taiko78 it traps heat, look up 'climate' +co2.Your friends are skeptical of 'global warming' which is understandable....is the earth just going through a natural cycle,or is our pollution starting a trend that won't stop untill we address it.Time will tell.Volcanos pumped out millions of tons of gas yearly,b4 man...the earth handled it,and it took cenutries.WE pump out pollutants steadily,it's possible the earth can't keep up...we make it worse with extensive logging.Trees are crucial.

  • please guys.Your argument is wasting virtual space.I had to hit the 'view all comments' button to see an interesting one. Don't trip on 'ignorant' galaxy. One has to be arrogant to use it,since we're ALL ignorant ,it's impossible to know everything. When i disagree,i tell them why without insults.Words carry more weight that way....now i'm part of the virtual waste. ...now,back to learning.I want to move forward, not spin my wheels.

  • sombody knows if is it possible to know the title of original soundtrack of this documentary..??or the composer's name??

  • @sk8ermassi Look up these things in any serach engine....I simply took them from the videos description.

"2009 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival"(Keep in quotations),then put +NASA ..or combine all these prases."Science on a Sphere" or "Scientific Visualization Studio". ..you can even goto nasa.gov and ask them.

  • This video is a cesspool of facts, yet people will stare at the screen and blank out. Once the video ends, they will proceed to the comment box at the bottom of the page to type, "Give me facts" and "It was really cold this winter".

The blatant ignorance is starting to get on my nerves.

Stop listening to Alex Jones and start listening to the people who made space travel a reality.

  • i suppose you dont believe in UFO's then?

  • "At the polls its cold all the time " - O'RLY?

  • I AM NOT A SKEPTIC... there is no skeptics. There are only scientists and you, the witch hunters. You have no Idea about climate change and how it works, you heard about few factors and you blew it out of proportion to sell some PV panels and wind farms. How can you lie like that to billions of people, changing their lives for ever... do you realize the costs of these changes? You cant revers the climate change anyway. Do you realize the cost of this mistake? You are a joke that will cost lives.

  • We get it, were screwed. We are going to cook slowly but die from thirst and shortage of food :/

  • are we going back to the ice age??

  • people who sit in fron of their laptop, and eating mcnuggets do not see any change, Go out go to see the climate change for yourself, go to see the glaciers melting, go to greenland, canada, the glaciers in europe, russia. Fuckin retards. When the shit hits the fan we will lose some idiots on the way. I can't wait to see it happend.

  • Yeah, considering the world is doing nothing to stop it, might as well be positive and make the best out of watching the idiots be dumb-founded at there coastline condo getting flooded out.

  • @IFloridaMotocrossI

Living near the coastline/under the average sea level = Being a total moron.

  • Pure cheap ignorant unsubstantiated FUD/fear mongering.

Sure, say "a quarter century" in place of only 25 years of satellite observation, sounds more impressive to the total morons in the audience that way...

"Humanity" has survived way worse than a few potential global degree change in temperature, ice ages anyone?!?

To think this could ever be a significant issue to somehow be worried about is profoundly retarded.

  • @toulouse666

So, you don't think that the ice age will had substantial effects on human life? Lol.

Not to mention, current warming trends are not going to create an ice age. Instead, the polar caps are going to melt, the oceans are going to become acidified, land will become increasingly arid, coastal areas will flood, biodiversity will be lost, and other environmental effects will leave long-lasting scars Earth's ecosystems.

This all has substantial effects on human life.

  • @IFloridaMotocrossI I love the earth and take care of it and I have a house close to coast! So don't laugh at my house getting flooded out!

  • LOL a lot of these anti global warming advocates are honestly hilarious, its like hearing creationist talking.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace I don't get your point... I can compare anything with everything, bubleboy :P

  • dumbnetworks no I was supporting what you said I was simply saying some people will always deny Scientific data no matter what, the earth could catch fire and they would say its natural. Global Warming has been proven to be man made enough said.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace k dude, I did't get it the first time... I might be slow. Thanks for response.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

Again, you are bang on the mark with that comment, couldn't agree more.

  • Would not the melting of the earth's ice caps actually increase the average albedo around the globe instead of concentrating the albedo at the poles? More dark oceans should hold more heat and then give off more water vapor which could mean more clouds distributed at the equator. I still think that global warming can be a precursor to the next ice age. To support this notion look at the Vostok ice core graph it makes Gore's hockey stick graph look like a tooth on the end of a saw blade.

  • They never said this was the first time in record keeping history that the globe has warmed before, but guess what, it has...

  • When will the whistle blowing start at NASA (never a straight answer} well it should be soon enough with projects being cancelled and people getting layed off. I can't wait to see what secrets they expose lol

  • As always, another amazing video. :) 5/5

  • Hi Prince67Alpha "google" 150 Scientists Ask UN to Show Evidence of Human-Caused Global Warming, for a start ;-)

  • I have of thinking of to fixing an problems. We are should getting to evryone's in of world to opening of refrigerators at of same times and to keeping of opens for an whole days. This is of cooling to of earth and of very fixingly of to globules warmingly. - Amens

  • yea but if winter months means almost no sunligh up there then what sunlight is ther to not reflect?? And wouldnt more ocean area increase evaporation and intern cloud cover wich would reflect more sunlight? idk man maby the earth can take care of itself...

  • What a Load of Hyperbole.

  • Look What We Have Done To This Plane!!

  • I believe when all ice has melted the earth will rotate out of balance, perhaps this is what they called Polar Shift. Just like when you spin a hardboiled egg, it balances itself and spins longer, but a raw egg spins out of balance.

  • @rguerzo

no it won't lol. egg is all water inside. earth's 'water' is only on the surface.

What keeps the Earth in balance (minimum precession) is the Moon. As long as the Moon is there, the earth won't rotate out of balance.

Mars doesn't have a big moon to balance itself, so in the past, there are period when cold polar region becoming warm, causing turbulent flood. The remains can still be seen in some places like Valles Marineris. This is still in debate tho.

  • It's called positive feedback and it means we're already fucked when the unscientific majority of the world (+99%) realizes it.

  • Climate change can not be reversed any more. It is similar to chain reaction...

  • @ mrmaciejm,

Not true, it has been reversed in the past and can/will be reversed again as time passes.

The real question is, will we as a species be around to see this reversal after all disruption we have caused?

The current levels of worldly ignorance towards basic science and understanding suggests it doesn't look good for us, we'll just have to wait and see as things start to get more desperate.

  • @PacalB

Climate is changing and there is nothing we can do about it. The biggest argument for that is: Climate changed before and we weren't there to do that. We may not be here to realize that, because instead of trying to adopt to change we are trying to stop it. All I can say that that there is too many assumptions in the models and too much lobbying.

  • @mrmaciejm

World population & the increase in C02 release goes hand in hand. This is not an assumption but a verifiable fact through palaeoclimate records. No assumptions are being made here, just good science & the reviewing of physical evidence that exists about us.

If u r talking of long term climate change over 10's of thousands of years, we'll u are right, it cannot be stopped, but this short term change stemming from our C02 release is something completely different, it can be changed.

  • It happens that I am an Environmental Scientist and Engineer and I am not spinning it, although it is in my interest. I am a scientist and I tell you like it is. Even if I would have shares in renewable energy sector or carbon trading company I would tell you the same thing. You believe Al Gore, because he made a nice movie and show how polar bears are suffering. All this talk means nothing if the climate will continue and believe me it is not up to us. Nobody knows what is going to happen!

  • Well, if u are an environmental scientist and engineer, then you've done the math, seen the figures and read into the data on both sides of the argument here. U of all people should know full well that billions of tons of C02 pushed into the atmosphere is going to have an effect.

Or are u suggesting that the C02 that we are releasing has no effect?

Please don't generalise and drop lines like "U believe Al Gore, because he made a movie", you haven't a clue on my background or reference.

  • I am sure I have. IPCC reports and few core samples from the polar caps. Great. Maybe some Indian botanist writing about something he has no idea about... great reference. I know so many senior scientists that reject IPCC a claim that CO2 is a major contributor to rising temperatures, further more rising temperatures had been measured incorrectly on altitudes in atmosphere that do not correlate with CO2 worming effect ... and I am not a climate skeptic. I am a realist, you on the other hand...

  • @mrmaciejm CO2 is a green house gas, what's there to argue about. Rising CO2 means more trapped heat wtf are you trying to disprove? Plus you say you know a lot of Senior Scientist? LOL Oh please you'r spelling is horrible for one, second name the Senior Scientist you supposedly know. Third any Scientist that rejects CO2 being a green house gas is honestly a moron who has a fake PHD. (In other words how did that Scientist even get a PHD)

  • From your comets I can notice that you have no idea about CO2 and climate change. And you dare to call me a moron?

Maybe you should have a look at some interviews with Michael Crichton, Freeman Dyson or Prof Bob Carter. I can provide you with links...

But why would you look at the other side of the camp? Because these people have more brain cells than all IPCC collective.

  • "From your comets I can notice that you have no idea about CO2 and climate change" Wow man LOL are you honestly gonna sit there behind your screen and say CO2 has nothing to do with green house gas? I honestly think you are trolling (Please God if you Exist and are there let it be Trolling)

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

You know as much about CO2 and its alleged green house effect as you have learned in high school. maybe when you complete any relevant education and start thinking for yourself, then send me an e-mail.

  • mrmaciejm so now you are more educated than everyone here? It does not seem so, CO2 is a green house gas and I don't know whether you are pretending or don't know the effects of it. History repeats itself, of course but its man made this time God fucken damn it its like you hear "Man Made" and it goes in one ear and comes out in the other.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

you see... you are too emotional about the whole thing. It clouds your judgment. Use your head and think for yourself. I have never been on any lecture about climate WARMING that didn't involve emotional pictures of kids dying in third world country and waves crushing homes. IPCC report is full of errors and CO2 is a greenhouse gas, but not a main one. Water vapor is a much more potent. But... hey... what do I know. Right? Time will show who's right. :)

  • Water Vapor comes and goes compared to CO2, If water vapor was indeed more potent as you say and held in more heat we would of all died already if that was the case. You dont know jack from your statements and comments which you leave here, and the 50% of words that you misspell in each comment is hilarious. Fact is Water Vapor quickly vanishes compared to CO2 which needs to be filtered trough our natural Trees. But since we are also cutting down forest CO2 is staying longer.

  • @mrmaciejm

Indeed, water vapour is the most dominant greenhouse gas. Still, water vapour is also the dominant positive feedback in our climate system and amplifies any warming caused by changes in atmospheric CO2. This positive feedback is why climate is so sensitive to CO2 warming.

  • @mrmaciejm

As water vapour is directly related to temperature, it's also a positive feedback - in fact, the largest positive feedback in the climate system. As temperature rises, evaporation increases and more water vapour accumulates in the atmosphere. As a greenhouse gas, the water absorbs more heat, further warming the air and causing more evaporation.

  • @mrmaciejm

When CO2 is added to the atmosphere, as a greenhouse gas it has a warming effect. This causes more water to evaporate and warm the air to a higher, stabilized level. So the warming from CO2 has an amplified effect.

  • @mrmaciejm

Theory, observations & climate models all show the increase in water vapor is around 6 to 7.5% per degree Celsius warming of the lower atmosphere. The observed changes in temperature, moisture, & atmospheric circulation fit together in an internally and physically consistent way.

  • @mrmaciejm

When skeptics (like mrmaciejm and others here) cite water vapour as the most dominant greenhouse gas, they are actually invoking the positive feedback that makes our climate so sensitive to CO2 as well as another line of evidence for anthropogenic global warming.

  • Michael Crichton

Wikipedia-"was an American author, producer, director, screenwriter, and medical school graduate, best known for his work in the science fiction, medical fiction, and thriller genres"

Glad to see he has a PHD bro and that he is so qualified in the Climatic/Environmental Field.

    Freeman Dyson

Wikipediai-"a British-born American theoretical physicist and mathematician, famous for his work in quantum field theory, solid-state physics, and nuclear engineering-" Qualified for Climate?

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

Exactly WhatsAfterThisPlace , as I say .... he's full of shit. But hey ... this is the net and you get plenty of these types knocking about unfortunately.

  • @PacalB

Are sure you have any education? at all...

  • Are you sure you can read?

WIKIpedia: "round 1979, Dyson worked with the Institute for Energy Analysis on climate studies. for 5 years". He also took part in creation of IPCC... dear lord.

Michael Crichton was a s friend of your favorite Al Gore, just smarter.

Anyway... good luck with your warming... :)

  • Now you are not making sense and I honestly think you are slow or just trolling

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

I think you just cant keep up... I think you know as much as you have heard on tv about climate change.

  • I can't keep up? LOL you are the one denying Scientific research, you are like a Creationist, all research points to evolution but you keep pointing it to Creation by God, you act just like those people. I know more than you apperantly Mr.Spell Wrong and Senior Scientist LOL

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

Scientific research? its a joke not a scientific research!

Talking to you is a waste of time.

  • Yea ok its such a waste of your time, I forgot you have to go talk to the "Senior Scientist" you know that reject Man made Global Warming.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

Good points there, mrmaciejm's full of it. He's no scientist, more like a bullshiter whom's watched one too many "The Global Warming Swindle(地球温暖化詐欺) 2/8" videos. watch?v=VYlkpClOevA

    This a scientist? watch?v=t3RO6mfEVNo

    More like someone with issues.

  • @pacalB lol yea plus He posted some names I could not believe those names were not even credible.

  • mrmaciejm claiming to be a Environmental Scientist and Engineer on youtube has no credibility, you can be making that up for all I know. You act as if Al Gore is the only person mentioning Man Made Global Warming, several well respected Scientist say Man Made Global Warming is indeed occurring, Oil company's are the usual ones spending big money to spread propaganda against Global Warming. Go to the North Pole or the South Pole and speak to a Scientist there, and see what he tells you.

  • Of course... anyway why would I like to convince you? You to listen to more dramatic scenarios and megalomaniacs saving polar bears and wild potatoes. Well done and good luck.

  • Exactly..Good points.

  • Global Warming is the least of the world's problems. We already waste so much water every day, waste animals to the brink of extinction creating more waste. We're in a civilization that isn't operable for survival. The world needs to stop caring about money being the "Fix" when it's the cause. Money being the limiting factor when it clearly shouldn't be.

  • @angelxsid .Its not about the money but what it gets in our empty life which is exploited by the commmercial world as they have solutions as consumption whithout any care

  • Still makes it about the money.

  • @angelxsid and your lust for money since you cant express your feeling in other way-thats why companys won- They will seduce you as kid unless your religios all other unlike me will dont stand a chance

  • i don't lust or money in the slightest.

  • you will for that it gives you and your in the end kids welfare

  • That's different, money is still the disease towards their welfare. Health, education, food, water, housing etc.

There's a difference which I shouldn't need to explain between lusting money and finding means to provide for your family - which is FORCED upon you due to the way society currently operates.

What you suggest means it HAS to be this way, when it doesn't.

  • @angelxsid thers somethin wrong with u then, or ur just old...

  • What's "wrong" with me, tell me. I'm 19.

  • don't feel lust or want money in the slightes?? really is that even possible? And even if your a saint you still need money to survive or for your family, its the way the whole world operates, theres is no other way. Its true money can be a disease but no money means you have no chance of survival.

  • Yes it's possible. What you've said again missed the point in what I said. The world DOESN'T HAVE TO OPERATE THIS WAY. The way the world is going it's meaningless, destructive, greedy. It's a vicious circle.

You obviously don't see where I'm coming from so I wont bother explaining. You'll still see if from your perception.

  • Sure it doesnt have to operate that way but cmon, theres bound to be corruption anywere you look, ur asking for a perfect world...

  • I'm just thinking of what can, and should be. The world only operates currently in the same circle daily because of people not wanting change. Likewise with politics. If it's not a combined unity of the human race it's doomed to fail - This is shown daily.

Things are only this way now because of the past. We're in a new era and we need to change how we survive. We have a new found knowledge from the dark ages, how screwed the world is shows by the stronger existence of religion.

  • well then good luck trying to change the world then.. =/

  • Explain how we aren't wasting it? How much water does it take to bottle a single bottle of water? Go take a look at a BBC Documentary on Horizon talking about cultivation and water supplies. The Antarctic holds up to 75% of the worlds fresh, safe drinking water - that's melting at a high rate. That's waste right there for us not utilising it. "Sea water" isn't drinkable.

I'm not misinformed in the slightest, I've made an observation on the world. No one has forced these thoughts into my head.

  • @angelxsid

    well said

  • why do scientists act like the world has never warmed before? this is nothing new people really

  • You are misinformed, they don't. What they do say is, it has never happened before in such a short time frame from CO2 being released by fossil fuel burning.

Do you not get it? The last time CO2 levels where this high was 15 million years ago. So what has changed? The change is us! Us pumping millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere via fossil fuel burning over the last 100 years. Now rather than making silly comments, please go and study a bit more science.

  • even if earth was uninhabited by human beings. global warming would still occur naturally over time. we're just making it move quicker...

  • @sithioth Seriously, that is no argument for it being "okay then". Yes, temperatures change & flux over 100's of 1000's of years but its foolish to think its the same thing. To say that global warming happening over 100's of 1000's of years is the same as global warming happening over a 100 years? Can people really not see the difference? Millions of years for trees to suck out CO2 from the atmosphere, yet a century or less to dig it out of the ground the put it back in the air? The same?

  • O rly?

The Five hundred character internet comment can triumph manhours of research? Cool, i`ll remember that.

  • that's the way nature works... u don't like it go to mars.

  • sounds like the best science that politics can buy

  • I AGREE

  • that it is, they never said this was the first time in record keeping history this has happened, but they also never said this has happened before

  • The Vostok Station graph of ice cores from 450000 years in Antarctica show that the temperature rises 8 degrees celsius every 100000 years. The last time the spoke was on the maximum was 110000 years ago. So we are going to have a sudden drop in the spike of temperature.

  • So am I the only one who`s ever wanted to actually see for myself what a snowball Earth must have looked like? I wish two things that involve me being invincible to all laws of being: I`ve always wanted to be able to touch lava and move it in my own hands and I also have wanted to walk around this frozen snowball Earth when it was so many ages ago... Hmm.

  • 5*!

  • Fantastic presentation.

  • Excellent!

    Thanks for this upload.

  • I thought all the methane the scientist were worried about was just under the ocean! Oh no! I should have invested in that fallout bunker after all.

  • Hmm? maybe so, but it will do you little good hiding in a bunker.

Really it's the melting permafrost in Arctic regions that's what you really want to be worrying about. Once triggered by current global warming trends, it will release underground methane. This will speed up global warming by trapping the earths heat radiation by about 20 times more efficiently than the current greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide.

Basically, methane under permafrost could speed up global warming 20-fold or more.

  • And the permafrost trapped methane is a drop in the bucket compared to the methane clathrates under the oceans along continetal margins.

  • @RyuDarragh

    This is very true RyuDarragh.

Also something to keep in mind is, as these Arctic regions retreat the pressure on the Earth's crust in those areas will reduce. This leads to destabilization in those continental margins you speak off, quakes and the openings of new fissures releasing CH4 then will exaggerate our warming issues.

    Here the problems really start.

  • Aye. We've already had proof of one of the dangers when a series of inexplicable sinkings in the north atlantic waters were linked to those same methane clathrates. And that was several years ago. A symptom of what was to come and the shrinking polar ice pointing the way to even worse.

  • No mention of fresh waters part in the ocean causing cooling.

How about mans clean technology, and water vapors affect in place of carbon based fuel.

This is a very good video but it taste funny.

  • It's going to be such a tragic waste when this biologically rich planet can no longer remain life sustainable. Especially considering it will be caused by human ignorance and greed.

What a disgusting situation that's unfolding right before our eyes....

  • It's not so bad, the Earth's ecology will bounce back, we just won't be around to see it. We in our wonderful ignorance will have missed our chance and will have gone the way of the dinosaur.

Anyway, just listen to all the religious nuts out there [and here] in every day life, they are just begging for the end of times to come. I mean, whilst we have ass hole politicians allowing for religious ignorance to spread unchecked it really is only a matter of time before the shit really hits the fan.

  • I disagree. When the CPPM's go above 800, plant life begins to die off. There have been many scientifically controlled experiments, which prove this. Once the plant life dies, nearly everything else does as well.

We're already very near 400 parts per million...

  • @IFloridaMotocrossI

I hear where you are coming from with stating that but you need to keep in mind the Earth life has gone through a number of extinction periods in the past [Yes, even those where the atmosphere has changed dramatically]. Life, even under those hostile conditions has still found ways to bounce back. The point being, 700 millions years can do a lot to change things. Think algae & extremophiles, add time to that mix & life bounces back. As I say though, we won't be seeing it.

  • @IFloridaMotocrossI

Just another point to raise here IFloridaMotocrossI, During the Cambrian period cppm was up to 7000 or more and life still had a foot hold, in the sense of coelenterates, protozoa, poriferans, molluscans, worms, echinoderms, trilobites, trilobitomorphs, achaocyathids, brachiopods and such as fossils have shown us this. As for planet life, well yes it was basic being mainly algae but it was a start which gave rise to more complex photosynthetic plant forms. Life bounces. :)

  • YEAH STICK IT TO EM TERRY!

    btw nice vid 5*

  • for all of you who say that man made global warming is fake and that the government is making it up...tell me why they would lie to us about that? What to they gain from it?

  • @mikeol well just because the Government says Global Warming is true does not make it so, I believe it because all the Data and Hard Research says so, the Majority of Scientist say so as well, Scientist make shitty money they have no reason to lie.

  • shitty money ? perhaps compared to Al Gore, or the people that attended the latest climate change summit in private jets, but compared to the rest of the world, the money is certainly well above any minimum wage job

  • @RevDevilin They do make Shitty money, unless its a Government employed Scientist who has no good intentions, many Independent Scientist are usually in programs which receive donations, those are the kind of Scientist (Good Intentions) that make shitty money, not Government owned ones. Either way like I said "MAN MADE" Global Warming is a fact just like Evolution, even the extreme weather happening now across the globe should be enough for you to see.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

Couldn't agree more with what you've just said here.

  • @RevDevilin i UNDERSTAND its a Scientific Theory, the only reason things are called Scientific Theory's are just for insurance purposes, Science never likes to claim something to be absolute. Evolution though a Scientific Theory is a Fact they just dont call it a fact, like Gravity is a fact and like Fire is Hot. Man Made Global Warming is the same, there will always be deniers of Science, unless it suits them.

  • Hi WhatsAfterThisPlace, This is a complete misunderstanding of what science is, if I drop a stone and it falls towards the largest gravitational mass, this is a fact, science is not the stone falling towards the gravitational mass, science is the best explanation for why this happens using the best available data at the time, ie science is not the fact its the theory, do you understand the difference now ?

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace"even the extreme weather happening now across the globe should be enough for you to see"

It,s snowing in winter in England, which is hardly unusual, the sun is in a Maunder Minimum period, and are current orbit takes us slightly further away from the sun than normal, what am I supposed to be seeing that is unusual ?

  • Extreme weather is what is expected because of Global Warming, for Example the category 4 Hurricanes being recorded lately IRIS 2001 ISABEL 2003 CHARLEY 2004 FRANCES 2004 IVAN 2004 JEANNE 2004 DENNIS 2005 KATRINA 2005 RITA 2005 WILMA 2005. Second the reason i mentioned Snowing is because Global Deniers point to Snow Storms as proof of Global Warming being a hoax, when in fact it was predicted. Record High Heat Waves in Africa, Australia, and even here in LA where I am from What more do you want.
  • "Extreme weather is what is expected because of Global Warming" the mediaeval warm period when temperatures were much higher than they are now, mid-to-late1600 the mini ice age, 1970s the Global cooling scare, you may be surprised to find out that there were tornadoes Hurricanes floods and droughts and extremes in high and low temperatures + several ice-ages long before man existed, Do you believe that all this should stop because you were born, and then start again because of your activities ?

  • RevDevilin you just dont seem to get the Meaning of "Man Made MAN MADE MAN MADE MAN MADE MAN MADE MAN MADE" Why is it hard to understand what Man Made means. Nature is Nature man made is another. Medieval era instruments were not as Accurate as the ones we have now, the only thing Scientist can measure was what was on the soil deep in and measure it like they do with Ice. 1970's was not supported by many Scientist actually there are plenty of videos debunking those claims.

  • RevDevilin I know that I even explained it in the comment which I posted to you, I understand and Know Science is the explanation of misunderstood things. Example : Evolution is a Scientific Theory, basically known as fact, but its called Scientific Theory as an Insurance policy because Science never likes to be or claim to have an Absolute Answer. I explained this in a comment Below.

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace "because Science never likes to be or claim to have an Absolute Answer"

NO, an Absolute Answer, can only be given with absolute knowledge, we do not have absolute knowledge, there are many unknowns in evolutionary theory, there are many unknowns in gravitational theory, it is not that Science never likes to be or claim to have an Absolute Answer, it would like to, but it can't, because of insufficient data

  • RevDevilin Are you purposely misreading what I am typing? I said Science does not claim to be or have Absolute answers because if they do then proven wrong they would look really bad. There is plenty of Data that proves Evolution, there is just not all of it there, just like we know how gravity works because space/time is fabric and bends down and pulls, we just dont have all of the data available. Please re-read my posts before quoting me.

  • No WhatsAfterThisPlace I am not purposely misreading what you are typin, what you are typing is not accurate or correct, I'm trying to help you understand what science is and waht it is not, it is not wild generalisations and they only do this because, and it is but it isn't, or they would look really bad if they did this or that

science is a discipline science is devoid of emotion, science is clear and defined, it is logic and reason, empirical evidence, repeatability, falsification an so on

  • @RevDevilin I understand what Science is, its a way of explaning things, we will leave it at that reguarding what Science is because I guess I dont explain myself well when I say "Science can't claim something to be absolute truth" Anyways reguarding Global Warming there are plenty of Nasa Data, and Scientist across the Globe from Australia to Europe, to North America, to South America etc. UN is a joke I listen to Scientist not what the UN council has to say about Global warming. Data is there

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace, people are currently trying to get the data under the Freedom of information act, although the data has been illegally withheld ( according to an independent watchdog ) the data is still unavailable, Professor Phil Jones is currently under investigation, Lord Lawson, head of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, said it should also investigate whether the Climate Research Unit denied opportunities to scientists trying to publish dissenting views

  • @RevDevilin all you have to do is google it lol that is all, you get all the info you want, the amount of Carbon recorded in the air, Temparatures, Water Levels, Water Temperature, Ozone Toxic levels, you name it you find it. Nothing is being held back just make sure that the article or data that you are reading is from a credible group or person. No one is hiding anything.

  • Hi WhatsAfterThisPlace

Wikipedia"the Climate Research Unit has developed a number of the data sets widely used in climate research, including the global temperature record used to monitor the state of the climate system as well as statistical software packages and climate models".

ie this is regarded as the most credible source of information about climate change available, the stuff you get from Google is based upon information given by the Climate Research Unit, do you understand this so far ?

  • @RevDevililin FINE tell me what you want! You want 100% of the Scientist to agree and say "Yes Global Warming is man made and is happening right now" In order for you to accept it? There is always that percentage of Scientist that dont accept something wether its physics, or Biology. All I can do is step back and let you decide, its the only way people believe or dont believe something either way. The Information is there, Visibility is there you decide, im sick of arguing with people constantly

  • Scientist must be skeptic. Some time ago everybody said that the earth was flat, and few said that it is round and many died for this. It wasn't really flat, was it?

  • @mrmaciejm Oh come on you are going to really compare the Medieval era to the Modern Era were our equipment is far better and more accurate? They could not fly back then to see if the world was really flat could they? No one dared to explore far out sea to see if its flat could they? So your comparison is a joke. Plus this is coming from the same guy who misspelled in every sentence and claimed to know "Senior Scientist" But sure provide me with Link's please just pm them to me.

  • @WhatsAfterThisPlace

And why not? History repeats itself all the time. ALL THE TIME. If you would have paid any attention at school, you would know that. Or maybe you skipped this class?

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace what scientists say is irrelevant, what can be proven scientifically is relevant, although the Climate Research Unit said they had proof, and subsequently scientists using there data said they had proof, this now looks not just inaccurate but fraudulent,I don't know whether the climate change is man made or not, and without proof nobody else does either, what do I want, honesty truth and scientific proof, not childish unproven scare stories masquerading as scientifically proven

  • @RevDevilin are you stupid or something? What more proof do you want? there is overwhelming proof of climate change. People like you will probably go out panicking when all gets worse. Go inform yourself.

  • RevDevilin there are plenty of Charts and recorded data, and Heat/Cold Records, and you say you want the Scientific proof? What is the Scientific proof to you?

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace

The Scientific proof, I, the 150 scientists, and many others, would like, is your standard everyday scientific proof, scientific proof that an already changing global temperature, can be altered positively or negatively by human activity

And yes there are plenty of Charts and stuff, I could make one now showing that the conversation we'd been having has caused global cooling, would you believe it based upon my speculation, or would you want to see scientific proof ?

  • Thats weird I thought Science was Charts and Data with undeniable proof but I guess for you its more than that. 150 compared to 32,000?

  • WhatsAfterThisPlace "Thats weird I thought Science was Charts"

NO charts Are pretty pictures for people that can't do the math

"Data with undeniable proof" yes that's more like it

Now the 150 + me + others, would like to see this "Data with undeniable proof"

The 32,000? are you saying they don't want to see the proof ? because if they don't then that's faith not science, tell me do you believe without proof, or is speculation and pretty pictures enough to keep your faith going ?

  • RevDevilin lol you know how fox news denies man made Global Warming so much right? Well there is a video that just came out where this lady who is supposedly a Meteorologist admits Global Warming is taking place, and Michio Kaku pwns her ass. I believe something with proof and there is proof of man made global warming, your like a Creationist saying "Let me see the proof for evolution" When the majority of Biologist agree on evolution. Thats exactly how you sound.

  • So now I sound like a Creationist

For adopting a neutral yet sceptical position, for adopting the position of reason logic and science, interesting

WhatsAfterThisPlace, how would you describe your own position on this subject ?

ps I do not watch Fox News although I'm aware of it, mostly because I subscribe to LiberalViewer

  • Yea you sound like a Creationist because the Evidence for "Man Made" global warming is there and you still ask "Where is the Evidence" Just like a creationist ask's "Where is the evidence for evolution?" I describe my position as having facts, plus you are not taking a skeptical position you're taking a Denial Position.
