  • Has to be heated to at least 100 degrees f. to work. Use a blow dryer for body, and if its on a Chrome bumper, use a heat gun.

  • The ding looks smaller to me...

  • You need to heat the metal with a heat gun and apply a dent sized piece of dry ice to the dent quickly. That is how it works.

  • @12gaige100 Yeah, actually tried that as well. Pretty sure the ding was too small..

  • it works better if the size of the piece of dry ice is comparable to the size of the dent. yours was over 100x the size so the metal wouldnt contract as needed to better reshape the metal

  • You know what fixes it? a stud welder and slide hammer!

  • @seans63lemansSD Exactly!!!

  • one question i believe everyone wants to know... Where the fuck do you get dry ice??!

  • @AM18095 LOL.. Ice cream stores.

  • @Johnnysshop reallyy?!? time for some fun with ice haha

  • @AM18095 Meijiers too!

  • @AM18095 this doesnt work but if u have a harris teeter super market where u at they sale it

  • Well, thank you for posting the video and disproving this myth

  • They said it takes 5-10 minutes to work...

  • @I3loodIust Yeah, I tried that off camera also. I think the ding was just too small.

  • Cool it way down and then hit it with the heat gun?

  • @chris2roman Yeah, tried that :(. I think it was too small of a ding.

  • Has to be heated before putting on the dry ice.

  • @billman2112 Yeah, I tried that as well. With a heatgun. Didn't work. I think the ding is too small.

  • Park it in the sun until it gets hot. Gently rub the dry ice around the dent rim for about a minute or so. Removes about 20% of small dents completely and better than 80% of most denting on the rest first try.

  • @kuzumisama I actually had a heat gun on it for a good amount of time. I think it would work well on a dent but not this little ding.

  • What about the heat gun or hiair dryer then canned co2 deal? Does that work? I have a MC fuel tank with a silver dollar sized dent in it.

  • @lakecrab I held a heat gun on it for a long time. Still didn't work :( I think it would work well on a dent but this was more of a ding.

  • it works but how i do it is u hold the dryice on the spot in till u get a 1in frostring around the dryice your holding and then u remove the dryice and let it go back to room temp

  • it does work, the area needs to be heated up and then apply ice. we had a bad hail storm back in May and got a couple of dents and all i did was applied the dry ice to the dents during a hot day @4 pm plus, my car was out in the sun the whole day so the surface was very hot. the dents just popped into place. you can actually hear the pop.

  • Try to keep the ice on it

  • @hansterpeace Yeah, I did just not on the video. I used heat as well. I think the dent/ding was too small.

  • To those that know the dry ice works: can you heat the ding up with a torch, then use the dry ice?

  • I'm pretty sure you are supposed to heat up the dent first, then use the dry ice.

  • @Gabe511 Yeah, I ended up trying that and it still didn't work. I think the dent was too small.

  • keep the ice one it...

  • i believe it works but it want completly remove the dent just make it smaller

  • Well, I think the dent is too small. Plus you could have scratched your paintjob because you didn't use a towel or something soft around the ice. And it takes longer than a few seconds. it could take up to 30 minutes of rubbing. I've done it, and it worked on my truck.

  • @jodiegirl20 Yeah, the dent was too small. I did it for about an hour after the vid just to see what would happen.

  • Well, I think the dent is too small. Plus you could have scratched your paintjob because you didn't use a towel or something soft around the ice.

  • you did not heat up the surface before putting the ice down.

  • @kosmosleha Yes, I know. I've tried it that way as well with an industrial heat gun and the process only works for large dents and then they have to be just right...

  • Get a dingking or pops-a-dent, that thing woooorks :)

  • It will remove dents and dings. However the minute the surface heats up in the sun the dent comes back.

  • @SeigiSama Ahh.. That stinks

  • Using dry ice, It's gonna be always a dent. A little smaller, but still a dent.

  • @wilisterman Yeah, tried it on my kids car which had a good size dent while also using heat and it made it smaller, not a lot smaller but a little. I needed dry ice for another project so I figured I'd give it a shot

  • dents to small

  • @juneya23 Yeah, I figured it would be. I did try heating it up first also.

  • @Johnnysshop i still really want to try it though

  • hey you should use the dry ice to make some root beer!

  • @tmax450 LOL..

  • Comment removed

  • very true

  • hey look at the ding at the beginning and then jump to the end.... It helped

  • @steveo928 It may have a little. Still a ding though :(

  • Try heating it first with a heat gun but dont bubble the paint then let it sit on there that might work

  • I've seen it done similar to this but instead of dry ice you get one of those air-in-can's and hold it upside-down then spray the dent with the cold mist that comes out. Then immediately after that you hit it with a hairdryer.

  • @fargof06 Yeah, may try that one day

  • you should make a video on how to replace a exterior door handle on your altima...cause i just ripped mine off lmao
