My father, Harold DeVenuta, was the drummer of this band. He is on the far left. I believe he was replaced with someone else at a later date. My father died in April of 2010. Miss u Dad.
I was madly in love with a girl named Lorraine when this song came out in 1959. It still gives me chills when I hear it. I was lucky enough to see Bobby perform it live here in Pittsburgh a year ago. He still puts as much emotion in it today as he did back then. What a great performer.
@TheTaylorJBloom It was the Mountain Lakes Inn on Greenwood Lake, but that's OK, it was 50 years ago. And, I'm not sure if they played there in '59. I do know, they played there in '61, for the whole summer, 4 nights a week and Sunday afternoon. They pulled in the crowds and they were back the following summer, too. Yes, Darling Lorraine, was a great song!
WOW! Have not heard this song in "eons" . . .I think I wore out my mouse button by clicking the "replay" button. Many thanks for posting this one. They don't and won't sound like this any more...too bad about todays musicians as they don't have a clue about good music ! ! !

Have not heard this song in a very long time..what a classic Doo Wop song.
I did see a special in 2002 with only two original singers..they still got it *smiles*
Thank you for posting this rare song..

Bobby still cranks out on this great song. The years have been kind to his voice.

I was floored to see The Knockouts were not a black group. The lead singer does a great job
