Wow, the distance between them and the audience doesn't do the Stones any favors. In fact it distills their music and MJ tries desperately to draw this massive crowd in. My impression is that the RS is essentially a group that worked best in an intimate environment with the band members (at least) within the same space. MJ just gets more and more removed from the other members.

It's all down to the individual. At the beginning of the Beatles, Ringo was the one most of the girls seemed to love. Even more than Paul! Personality and charm sure do go a loooong way. I must be a good faker in both aspects because I've had a few really cute girlfriends. And I've been turned down by sub-par girls. You never really can tell.
