I credit these spiders for curing me of arachnophobia, although they themselves never scared me in the first place. Back in my home state of Illinois (I am in NC now) we had spiders like these, though a little bit smaller. When I was a kid, a few even jumped on me and not once did I ever get bit. You can feel the strength in their legs when they walk on you, they are strong as hell for their size. See how he looks you right in the face? They can see you very well, and are highly intelligent.
Yes from what I've found out, such curiosity is pretty unique - for arachnids anyway. A lot of em literally come and check you out!
I know spiders aren't for everybody but I've never heard of any spiders carrying diseases, compared to the flies and mosquito population they help control. They're also very clean little animals.
I have a few vids of a jumper also. She is a Platycrytus Undatus. She hangs around my apartment. I love the personality of these spiders.

Wow, I usually find spiders scary since I have arachnophobia but that spider is kind of cute =D. I almost want to pet it.

Indeed, they are the teddy bears of the spider world.

They are the smartest spiders you can get.
They also have the best eyesight for spiders. Just thank our lucky stars they're not the size of a dog. You won't find 'em so cute then.
It gets me when you see it looking at the camera.

LOL. Jumping Spiders are just like little cats. They are predators, just like cats. And they are curious, just like cats. :)
