Leeds were the best team in the country in the late 60s and early 70s and would have won even more if they'd had a really top goalkeeper. Sprake wasn't the greatest.
In fairness to Gary, he was an exellent shot-stopper but was sadly better remembered for his Paul Robinson-style gaffs. I agree, though. If for example Leeds had someone like Packie Jennings or someone, they'd've done even better. Cracking doco, thanks for the upload!
I am a Spurs Fan,But I hope Leeds get back in the prem soon,too big a side to be where they are,I rate the Leeds side of the seventies...actually,i come across this video looking to find some footage of a match my older brother had on tape he used to show me...loads of passes strung together and showboating,i remember one of the passes was a back heel flick...no idea of who they were playing though,cant ask my bro as he has sadly passed away.
