  • @VraiDave Boner.... that makes the sentence even better too. But seriously, it's a bone

  • @VraiDave Trombone.

    But indeed. It's shiver-worthy.

  • @VraiDave trombone, but same

  • Comment removed

  • @VraiDave no it's a trombone

  • @VraiDave Actually, I think it's a trombone there. It kinda sounds like a sax cuz the guy has crazy dirty stuff. Greatest. Ever.

  • @VraiDave Trombone, not sax. But yeah, me too!

  • @VraiDave That experience, sir, would be called "eargasm"

  • @VraiDave dude, i felt it too 0_0

  • @VraiDave Trombone, bro.

  • @VraiDave Trombone

  • 3 people were so mad they didnt write this song

  • Oh my fuck I jizz myself at the bass in every single streetlight song.

  • @3cheesed Only the bass?

  • @MrSuperpawn

    Touché.

  • My interpretation of this song is that it's anti-society. It's saying how we're heading on the wrong course, and we need change, or else we're going to end up destroying ourselves because we're too stubborn. Eventually, we're going to realize this, but then it'll be too late. The wars we fight and the things we do to each other and the planet will catch up on us. Tomas recognizes that he once participated in this "All I see is I've done something wrong", and feels the need to make up for it.

  • fun album

  • and somewhere in the between is a life of which we all dream and no one will ever take that away

  • I am a real metalhead (and always will be), but decided to take a different turn today, hit up buffalo soldier, then these guys...

    good day :)

  • most people hum/sing the horn parts-ba babapa ba da. i play along on my saxophone- ♪♫♫♪♪♫♪

  • @narf0708 give me notes now! (i have tenor)

  • @MrSuperpawn Sorry, I have alto. But I can send you a .PNG file of the alto music to you so you can transpose it.

  • @MrSuperpawn no need, i got antsy and tapped it out.

  • i dont see how people think this song is anti america....

  • @theorganizer81 Oh my dear my tis of thee.= . . duh america . . . our sinking ship =..

country going down the drain . . . . here's to the boys who fight all the wars you will never fight for yourself. =. . the army DUUUH

  • @Draxsilver ok not only is that a pretty loose interpretation, but none of that indicates anti-american sentiment. in fact, the "here's to the boys" part seems rather pro-american.

  • hehe i love comment wars

  • suck it....this song rocks! stop analyzing!

  • @dropmypants1 uh.... that 'analyzing' person is giving the history of the song, and why the artwork is made that way, he seems to know more about the song than you do, so you suck it

  • ok so just to clear up the album art with everyone: the record is called "Somewhere In The Between" there fore there is heaven, earth and hell. and since its called the between we are in the middle which is earth.

  • @RileyThePants oh shit shirlock. i didnt realize that from the comment with 90 thumbs...

  • You are not on the receiving end of it all, NO NO, you are not on the receiving end of it all!

    Woops..

All I see is I've done something wrong, WRONG WRONG, all I see is I've done something wrong.

  • Pure love!

  • well, in "we will fall together", they say "From the sky! To the ground! to the sea! " and thats what the album cover is. top part sky, brown part the earth, and bottom part the sea. there's even waves.

  • @Gavmac333 And the sea is red?

  • 2:48 = sex+

  • @isnipen00bs sex*

  • @isnipen00bs SexBox

  • this is so f@#king oke!

  • i love how the outro has a totally different feel than the rest of the song but fits in perfectly

  • I FUCKIN LOVE SKA

  • I want this to be played at my funeral, and Forty Days to be played at my weading.

    Long live Ska!

  • @NoahDaPwner funeral should be when we fall

  • Learned this song for my schools talent show. lets just say you could tell the skankers in the crowd

  • Learning this on tuba.

  • Wow, I noticed that about the songs on the album but I never thought to put the whole picture together! Took me forever to get it lol

  • who is that asshole? find him

  • who are the assholes with nothing better to do than find music they dont like on youtube and vote it down?

  • @sheepblitzer err wait that was me 2 months ago. i was drunk sorry

  • ONE dislike. That must say something.

  • Warped Tour '09 introduced me to these guys, and boy am I glad <33

  • I was extremely disappointed when this song ended, then i retarted it and was happy again

  • @wdmoyer505 *restarted*

  • @wdmoyer505 Still one of the funniest typos on youtube

  • @wdmoyer505 lmao that typo made my night.

  • @wdmoyer505 LOL you retarded it?

  • 1 person fails at life.

  • @racer123897 now 2 people fail at life.....those poor people don't understand what music is.

  • @racer123897 And magically, over nine months, only two more came along.

  • @racer123897 shut up

  • @mattcrazylazy The same to you, my good man.

  • @sheepblitzer i "dislike" you how dare you even dislike this song

  • 141 likes and 0 dislikes THATS RIIIIGHT!

  • this song made my ear orgasm.. more like an ear-gasm :D

  • COLTON MUSIC

  • this song gives me an erection

  • That trombone solo in the swing time section is insanely sexy!!!!!

  • I already listened to that song 10 times in a row already and i still cant get enough of it!

  • 98 like - 0 dislikes thats the shiiiiieet

  • Holy crap, if this isn't asking for a revolution, then I don't know what it is. *awesomeface*

  • How does this only have 37 thousand views!?

  • it is actually "what a wicked gang are we below"

  • ohshit this perdon vvvv is right! (heave, earth, hell)

  • colton music, anyone?

  • When introducing people to Streetlight Manifesto, this is always the first song I play for them, usually saying something epic like "You are about to hear ska. On crack."

  • it's sad how few people know who this band is :c

  • One of my favourite things about this band is the way they view the human race, which is evident in alot of their songs and much the way I view it.

  • @ibag321 I know! ToKa is such a narcissist (he is practically in love with himself) but he has a good reason. He sings about people's faults, and has so many good points it's hard not to like the music.

  • @ownagepie24 Anyone who embraces man's faults has reason to love himself, agreed. It's something people should do more often

  • The album art looks like

    Heaven

    Earth

    Hell

  • @egraseidannogew I got that impression too :D

  • @egraseidannogew it is

  • i think that's the point

  • @egraseidannogew And notice- heaven is the greatest here, but earth is the center. Maybe because, heaven might be great, but for now we're alive so there's no point wishing for it.

  • @egraseidannogew Because it's supposed to represent that

  • @egraseidannogew Wow i never relized that!wow i suck at spelling

  • @egraseidannogew Lol yeah pretty much the whole album is about religion and heaven and hell.

  • @egraseidannogew And Streetlight Lives in Heaven, It's what you hear when you go through the gates.

  • @egraseidannogew we are the somewhere in the between

  • @egraseidannogew and the words are somewhere in the between

  • @egraseidannogew i thought it looked like

    air

    ground

    fire/lava

yours makes sense too but idk for sure what it stands for

  • @egraseidannogew tomas heavily criticizes religion on this album so i wouldn't be surprised

  • @egraseidannogew yeah and i think heaven being the biggest has some significance

  • @iBjizzing they're "somewhere in the between"

  • @iBjizzing and Hell is the same size as Earth

  • @SgtKickazz Oh the symbolism

  • @egraseidannogew they're "somewhere in the between"

  • @egraseidannogew no it does not

  • @egraseidannogew It's earth, wind, and fire bro

  • @egraseidannogew The atmosphere, the crust, the mantle.

  • @egraseidannogew Well indeed it is sir, something if you looked at this from that aspect is, heaven is the larger of the three, where as earth and hell are the same length, makes you thing how different or alike the two are.

  • @egraseidannogew ...& they all look like pretty Psychedelic! Game On!! lol

  • @egraseidannogew o rlly

  • earth is the something in between, get it

  • @egraseidannogew bingo

  • (hyubattoinc), (protesttheryan11)

I think streetlight are a much more mature sound then RBF, but there both stilll great bands, streetlight are more unique i think aswell :)

  • @YuriFoxie

and you sound like a retard (:

  • yup im totally retarted i fuckin wear the helmet and go in the shortbus and everything

did you know they had seatbelts

  • you learn something new everyday o:

  • i love riding that bus!!! seatbelts make me feel safe c:

  • epic song

  • YES THEY DOOOOOOOOOOO

  • they hella sound like reel big fish

not that its a bad thing but if they sound like anyone its definately reel big fish >.>

  • @YuriFoxie

they definitely don't sound anything like rbf o.O

  • Well, they're both ska bands. But I think Reel Big Fish has a more calm mood than Streetlight.

  • I wouldn't say that the are more calm, they are still incredibly energetic. I just think Streetlight has a more urgent sound.

  • Yeah, I worded that wrong. Would it make more sense if I said that Streetlight has a more hard rock sense, and RBF has a generally happy, silly, mood?

  • Yeah, Streetlight definitely has more punk in their sound and their songs are often in minor keys. Both great bands though.

  • This band wishes they were Leftover Crack

  • leftover crack wishes they were hardcore like SM

    (jk)

  • a completely different

    style of music for me

  • "Does anyone else feel like they've heard this rhythm before?"

lol every time i sing along with this i put in the lyrics from "the receiving end of it all" at least in the chorus

  • streetlight manifesto

thats all i have to say

  • in all fairness. people who come on youtube to start shit while people are trying to chill out and listening to music are... ringnuts

these douche who's disagreeing with everything is just a small child wanting some reaction. ignore him and he'll go away. just like the herpes i gave his mother.

  • kalnokys the shit

  • white jerk, it's true that kalnoky has influences elsewhere, such as 50's doowoop, but you can't say streetlight's not ska. they have strayed away from the norms of the third wave but that's what makes them so amazing. and as for reggae, well most ska bands these days have lost their jamaican roots so i wouldn't pit it against them. give a moment of silence a listen though, it has the reggae offbeat you're looking for
