  • Great cover

  • @skipy936

    Thanks for the nice comment

    Take care -- Pep

  • Pep, OK isn't meant to seem derogitory, far from it. It's a bright OK rather than a dull OK but. until listening to your versions of Harvey's songs I've never heard anybody else sing them. The thing on this track though is (for me) Harvey's vocals and the piano, the (eventual) Yes man turned up trumps here and, well, it just does IT for me.

I do like your versions and how about having a go at Requiem, Fantacy From a Corner Seat, Able Baker or Lot 204 (which i LOVE)

  • Hi MACHAWK123 - No problem, I took it as a positive comment. I'll check those other tracks out when I get time.

    Take care - Pep

  • It's OK. On the original I really love the piano- a certain Rick Wakeman before he got ................

  • Ah yes - Rick Wakeman, now where did I put his phone number? Ah well, never mind.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

    Cheers -- Pep

  • Haven't heard this for such a long time. My favourite Harvey Andrews song. Good job!

  • Thanks for the nice comment and for taking the time to watch the video.

  • Nice job Pep.

(I don't think Paddy P means have you tried this song unaccompanied, but is referring to a Harvey Andrews song with the title 'Unaccompanied'...the one which begins: "The hooter wakes me up to face the day again..." (I believe it's on the Writer of Songs album?).

Keep doin' what you're doin' Pep.

  • Thanks for the info Tomzoe, just me having a senior moment I guess.

    I'll check that track out.

    Pep

  • Pep I wonder did you ever do Anrews's "Unaccompanied" I think it would suit you.

Thanks anyway for reminding me of some of those songs from my early 20s

    Paddy P.

  • Hi Paddy - No I've never tried to do this one unaccompanied. When I was in my 20's I sang this at a Folk Club in B'ham in front of Harvey Andrews (With his permission of course) He said he enjoyed it, perhaps he was just being diplomatic.

    Take care - Pep
