I can remember old John Weller (RIP) used to let some of his fans into the back door of the Edinburgh Playhouse for there sound checks, I got all my Jam albums signed.......... Best day's of my fucking puff, and still one of the best live bands I've heard. Go on Paul, just do it......... You've got twins to pay for now. I can't see it though, especially with the tie's his Dad had to the band.
@SIMONHATELEY dont sell it. keep it as a piece of history of probably the greatest band to have come out of england. people say the beatles or the stones or the who but the jam captured life so well and represented people his age. im only 17 and been listening to them for years now. 30 years on and they still mean so much to me
As described by the late John Weller the greatest band in the fcuking world ... i was lucky enough to see them many timesand to be honest no band has come close to there live set .. Paul Weller still sings Jam songs but not with the agression when he was younger , still think they could do it .. but i would be happy if they were still all friends and could talk about there legacy together .. Lets hope so and The Vapors as the support band ...
sometimes i wanna walk over me own grave................luke kelly, big country-stuart adamson, christy moore, paul weller, shane nacgowan, brendan behan, some dudes hit the spot, fuckin poets reallly
The Jam were everything to me when I was a teenager in the late 70's & early 80's, but you can hear how much better Weller has become as a songwriter since then. The Jam will always occupy a special place in my heart but I much prefer to live in the present. Peace and love x
So was i. But I was 15 yrs old. I got over it pretty quickly. Weller needed to move on. he was far too talented to be shackled by the jam. History has proved it. Peace and love x
saw the jam in Southend 1978, only 14, the man is great, looking forward to the new lp next month.

Saw Bruce & Paul play at RAH and Woking. Blew my tiny mind. A reformed gig? Never happen but if it did they'd sell Wembley out for a month.
