@DKGate7Ultras Yeah there used to be a few about. Or it could be one of the rare as hens teeth race bikes but this one's got the wrong hugger/tank/etc for that so presume a converted one.
What a sweet sounding machine!!! I bet it absolutely hauls ass out on the road or at the track :) Gotta love two strokes and their brutal power delivery...Ohh and the smell hmmmm.
The Norton F1 is a Wankel Rotary dude! not comparing apples to apples here. it takes almost twice the displacement to produce the same horsepower as a rotary with a 4 cycle piston engine. if you REALLY want to get technical a rotary is a 3 phase 1 cycle engine. so for a 2 stroke piston engine to even get within 50 horses of a rotary that's the same displacement, is quite impressive if you ask me.
im not compairing apples im comparing 2 and 4stroke engines, its a twin rotary for a start , 3 phase do you mean 3 cavities, because its 4phase like all 4 strokes intake compression ignition exhaust, please go back to school
LOL my friend, all internal combustion engines"period"operate on intake, compression, ignition and exhaust.what determines the cycles of an engine is how many complete rotations the engine must make to do the combustion cycle "what your referring to". doesn't matter how many piston, rotors what ever it is, the cycle is going to be the same for all of them in the same engine block.
what I meant by 3 phase is that a rotary engine fires 3 times per cycle and the rotor its self only turns one time for a complete rotation of the engine,if that helps.
Tomio you don't know what you are talking about. A rotary engine is not a 4 stroke. A 4 stroke has a power stroke every other down ward stroke of the piston, a 2 stroke every downward stroke and a rotary every time one side of the rotor (a triangle, 3 sides, which is where the guy gets 3 phase 1 stroke from). Rotary is a 1 cycle in all three things inlet, compression and ignition (same stroke on a 4T, & 2 T and any other engine), and exhaust are all happening at the same time.
yes suzuki always builds great bikes and everyone has his own opinion. Well in the end everyone one of us likes to take a ride with his bike doesn't matter if it's 2 or 4-stroke :)
oh my god i nearly creamed my self when i seen this, a 500 2 stroke feckin hell that must be the fastest bloody thing around. What the hell is the powerband like on that thing!!
I love two strokes, they are what racing is about, screw those heavy 4 strokes!!!! you cant beat the smell of 2 stroke in the morning. Where can i buy one, i know there custom as feck!!
hi guys!i am a bike fan from turkey. i was a fan of a kwack only before i watch this video,i was allways a fan of a 2 stroke 4 cyl bike didnt know if theres(theres not in turkey)so by this situation i was thinking abt a hand made 280cc engine.i am sure that will be as gd as this.what woul you guys think abt that?
where is this bike at for sale? did suzuki just stop making them or something >? is there any for sale anywhere? does any one no anyhitng about htem b/c i cant find these bikes anywhere is there anyone out here that can help me?
ur not going to find one very easily they are late 80's early 90's i think and they were for pro racing and only available in european countries...every once in a while u will see one in the states
they were never available to purchase. An RG500 however was and they went out of production around 86 i believe. RGV250's however water cooled V-twin 250 2 strokes were in production in most countries form 87 through to 96 with around 6 generations if memory serves. the RGV250N (91) is commonly regarded as the best handling bike EVER regardless of size or class. This is the frame of choice for guys putting RG500 (inline-twin) 500cc 2stroke engines into. this is where the name becomes RGV500.
You wont find one period. A genuien RGV500 was built ONLY for Racing in MotoGP, formally GP500's when RGV500's were on the track back in thedays of schwantz rainey doohan etc. Unless you had a spare 3or4 hundred thousand dollars knocking around even today youd be hard pressed to find one for sale. Most if not all are either scrapped or in racing museums. It is common however to put a RG500 (twin cyclender/not vtwin)in an RGV250 frame, most poeple then call it an RGV500 but its not technically.
sounds sick

not a bad bike but i prefer the 750 or 1000ccm 4-stroke bikes because of better sound handling and top speed

that bike would have better acceleration than any 4 stroke out there.... and who doesnt like the tangy metally sound that that thing makes
