  • I think we should eat them..

  • @PistolVOICES I agree

  • What are we saving them from exactly? I mean they're not native to America. They were brought over by Spaniards and were released. Really they're just feral.

  • @EyeOpened because the BLM is n violation of the Wild Horse and Burros act by rounding these awesome animals up and killing them

  • @EyeOpened It is true that the horses that are here now were brought over from spain, and other countries, but the horse origanally developed in north america and was hunted to extiction during the ice age. If you want to sound like you know everything, then you should check your history a little better first. Besides, man isnt native to north america either. So we could be considered "feral" as well, so should we be dealt with in the same manner?

  • @erintubb Man has been in North america for millions of years, horses like the ones we see today have bben here for about 300 years. And...

    fe·ral/ˈfi(ə)rəl/Adjective

    1. (esp. of an animal) In a wild state, esp. after escape from captivity or domestication: "a feral cat".

    So....No. We are not feral

  • think about the mustang free and wild what happening why must they lose freedom

  • there may have been horses in north america when all the plates were together and before the continents separated into what we know them as today, but horses were brought here by settlers. they're a part of the old west and probably the only living piece of the old west still surviving today ;) beautiful animals :) I hope they stay :)

  • these horses r beautiful

  • There were naturally wild horses in North America but that was many thousands of years ago. idk about burros tho?

  • THIA KID GOES TO MY SCHOOL

  • Cut it out all of you. Concentrate on saving these animals instead of bickering. I've spent 30 years saving mustangs and am glad for every second of the time spent doing so.

  • Will you two stop arguing like little six year olds. Seriously. Mustangs are originally called Spanish Mustanios because they were brought over by the Spanish. I hope that helps to solve a few of your conflicts.

  • We all do damage to land, however, if you keep ignoring devastation to ecosystems by introduced animals like feral horses, then nothing is solved. We like our horses, but they are not wild.I know because I've lived close to them.If common stray cats were to overpopulate the outdoors would you condone that too? This is ridiculous to think that bleeding heart reactionaries get to rule what is right and what isn't.What about the native ecosystem?Who is standing up for wild animals?

  • HAHA!Are you still telling your foolish lies!Spilling garabge all over youtube about wild horses! Its people like that are the reason why rangelands are diminishing!People like you that eradicate species for your own personal gain! People like that have no clue what land preservation is about!Clueless and mindless!

  • Why don't you discuss the damage the humans cause to the land. At first the farmers with there cows. And then the farmers with their big monocultures. Let's go on withe that? Theres a lot more to say about it.

  • I was wondering, are you implying that its peoples fault that mustangs are starving to death?

  • horses of any kind do not get the respect they deserve in this country!! It is true..they were there first. They are majestic, beautiful and deserve respect!!!

  • They were NOT here first. Before the white man came there were NO horses in North America. The ancient species that had been here were extinct since the last ice age. Then when the white man came they brought horses, some escaped or were released and became the feral horses that we have now. Do just a little bit of research and learn the truth before you post.

  • ohhh by the way hobgoblin do you know that noone except american Indians are native to this country so I am pretty sure you are a problem here too then...so why dont you go put your nose in a book and let kids talk...

  • im with ya

  • It's better for the horses to be homed than killed.

  • They are not wild, they are feral, horses are not native to North America. They were brought over by the Spanish and later other Europeans. They are an invasive species just like pythons, iguanas, nutria, pigs, etc. They are beautiful to watch on an emotional level but in reality they compete with native species like deer, elk, antelope, and big horn sheep for habitat.

  • Oh I guess you are a know it all and have to be right on everything..what do you care just let people talk its not a big deal.. Mustangs are here no matter who put them here.. they were also released by the us army...did you know that??? They need help thats all that matters.. next year I will do my normal montana trip and buy 6 at 125 dollars a piece.. train and make some lil girl or boy happy...

  • So I guess that you don't care about the native species, like the desert big horn, that the feral horses compete for habitat with? They are not supposed to be here. They need to have their numbers and ranges tightly controlled to limit their ecological damage.

  • maybe we should lightly control you and your mouth? actually the first horse was already here. they were the size of a large dog and then the spanish brought horses in. So even if the first mustang became extinct ( which they are dna testing and believe there could be a cross breed and are setting up a national park for) it still shows horses were here first. the ones that survived were brought in.

  • oh also if you look it up it says that the first horses were probably hunted by the first man in North America and when it says reintroduced doesnt that mean they were here first?? so get your facts straight.

  • oh and by the way I said Indians are the only thing native to this country read the comment again. you flew off the handle because you are so inraged with being right your brain see what it wants.

  • The original horses went extinct 8,000-10,000 years ago. The feral horses of today are decendants of thoes that came over from Europe. I spend alot of time in places inhabited by feral horses and see the ecological damage that they cause.

  • More lies! There are no facts to your claims!Oh wait! You are citing the information that clueless paleontologists and archaeologists presented! In fact! The wild horse never went extict from North America! They just evolved!Ask the Mohawk,Oneida,Onondaga,Cayuga, and Seneca which used wild horses to grow their culture in the 15th century!Yes that was over 150 years before the Spanish Settlers and their Colonial horses!

  • You're wrong, I'm right. I challenge you to fine ANY evidence that there were horses in North America between the time they went extince and the explorers brought them back.

  • I don't have to show you squat! You are the one with the opposing comments! You show your proof! Not conjecture based upon the feeble findings by a couple of amateur archaeologists that were on a dig looking for dinosaur bones!Show me your proof and I will show you a 30 page detailed scientific report. Not that you would understand it in the least. You are once again proving your ignorance and stupidity!Absolute stupidity!

  • Youre not supposed to be here!

  • have you seen all the damage that people do? Lets see who does more? but I am sure you viseted all over the world and know what damage we do to..so keep giving me thumbs down dad and try to make yourself look like a better person ok

  • People just need to leave mustangs of all kinds alone. keep a few tamed for help with conservation but keep the rest wild and free. They deserve it, what did they do to anyone? NOTHING!

  • i dont know what to go for because some people just want to get rid of the mustangs just becaus they dont like them and the BLM comes and rescues them but then they are taken from the wild and thats where they should belong IF YOU DONT LIKE THE MUSTANGS ON YOUR LAND THEN YOU NEED TO MOVE BCAUSE THEY WERE THERE FIRST!!

  • good thinking horseygal i am with u

  • I think some mustangs should be free but others should be given to good homes. That's why i adore the Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program.

  • ive never heard of the save the mustangs foundation, but thats awsome. i feel so bad for them. they are taken away from their families and freedom and put in stalls for the rest of their lives.

  • no shit. we all know that and its the same for all su living creatures dooh.

  • some mustangs that r born in the r meant for the wild!

it is wrong what people do

  • they're not meant to be in cages all the time..

they're meant to be free ..

freedom is the.. well, MY biggest issue ..

especially when it comes to animals .

  • The govt. lies these animals if we don't save them will be endangered its because of selfish ranchers. Save the mustangs and the burros.5 stars!

  • your awesome for putting this up here.

i think everyone should put in some kind of effort to save them.

they are "the spirit of the west"

and we need to keep it like that!

horses deserve to live out their lives in peace.

without people trying to slaughter them, capture them, etc.

    its just wrong.

they deserve to live free, just as much as people do.

  • drSeno is veryy right.

  • I'm from Portugal and we don't have that kind of problem in here, wild horses are rare and so they are protected. But i think you do a wonderful job putting this kinda vids in here, horse slaughter and extermination must end and ppl must listen to these warnings and start doing smthing about it!!

  • These beautiful horses where left originally by the Spanish in the southwest & west coast of the US. I would love to see International action to help save them even if means adopting them to loving owners. Tell everyone you know in your country. Thanks

  • Mustangs are now quite overpopulated

  • Overpopulated according to whom? People who are interested in reducing their numbers and using their land for livestock? Actually, there are hardly enough wild mustangs at present to maintain a healthy genetic diversity. They are threatened.
