Iraq was not then nor would ever have been a threat to America or any of its "allies". You know why this is so? I'll give you just one explanation. The leaked 2003 Downing Street Memo shows how Bush and Blair (the fine Christian statesmen) talked about a plan to fly U2 reconnaissance aircraft, disguised as UN planes, over Iraq, in an attempt to goad Saddam into striking first. Why did they need an excuse for war? Because Saddam was not a threat, had no WMD, and posed no "45-minute" danger.

The question is, why is the US occupying a country that is internally unstable and torn apart by theological divisions ? There is no such thing as a path to victory in Iraq.
