As a suggestion for future tours. Have you thought about investing on walkie talkies? They even make wristwatch-like walkies now! The ones i have at work cost about 40 dollars, comes with 4, and have a 16 mile range with 22 channels and 38 privacy codes. Fairly inexpensive solution for when traveling to areas where foreign phones won't work and you still have a decently large range to contact each other. No minutes, no plans, no hassles. Just thought id suggest it :)

But really, even if its 2 for $25-30, which i see a lot, its still not a bad deal for how useful they can be if you put them to good use. I know a lot of people that travel a lot to foreign countries and have no service there, so they end up spending money on prepaid phones while there..which is a waste since you cant use them in other countries
