Isn't one of your dogs a border collie? I just thought today, they might have advantage or any herding dog who has better "eye." Meaning they will follow better. There are instances when i have to yell to boudicca "look for it" even if it's thrown well but high. She's also shorter. So again, an example of breed distinctions that may be more helpful/useful to some dogs than others. Doesn't mean we can't overcome them.
I watched a video...college student, not dog trainer demonstrating the throwing technique, it's a flick of the wrist. I also try to slow things down by having boudicca do trained behaviors in-between.

i also need to practice throwing the frisbee I am not very good at it, poor dogs never know where I amk throwing it nor do I LOL
