One has to give credit to the Russian Army, they make do with a lot, they live in rubbish housing, have rubbish pay, and have weapons which "just work" they're low-tech but they do tend to work. Their equipment isn't really that outdated. You know what they say, you don't fix what isn't broken. All the AK variants are superior to the M16/M4. They need work on their armour, navy, and airforce though. I'd personally take an AK-74 over a M-16A4. And besides, the US and Russia are not really enemies anymore. The Cold War ended with the fall of communism. Plus, nobody would win. We'd blow each other up with nukes. >.>

The Russians have an amazing military, but their Navy can't compare to America's; and if you don't have a good Navy, it makes it that much harder to win a war regardless of it your troops are on the ground or not. I would also like to remind everyone about the World War when Soviet Union was fighting against the Nazi's. We did all the fighting, we watched our blood spilled, we won that war, and when it our victory was Inevitable, then the US comes in to "help" and take most of the credit. Russian Red Army forever.
