It's so simple, so logical & so fair, and we have earnt our 'fair go'. So why do our politicians refuse to give us what is fair?? It doesn't say much for what this country has become when we continue to vote for people such as these to become the lawmakers of our land. Their dishonesty, their deceit, their hypocrisy and their self-serving obsession make me cringe. Our grandfathers would be turning in their graves. Australia's current crop of politicans are a waste of oxygen.
You are right on the mark. All parties are to blame however seeing that Labor is in power at the moment they must wear the blame. We have had too much non action and we need some positive action right now. Bring the vets up to the community norm. We are not asking for the Pollie's bucket of gold, just equality with the rest of the community.
Why is it that our spouses only get 62.5% when we die and the public servant spouse, 68.5% and the politicians spouse 83.3%. SHAME SHAME
You and I, and many more service personnel have written to local politicians during the pre-election promise periods for clarification of the policy regarding Defence Super anomalies. We have repeatedly received assurances that "when elected" the Party will implement appropriate corrective action.
All Parties have broken their promises, relegating Defence superannuants to a lower priority than Aged Pensioners and Politicians; as you have revealed by some 60% of pension received.
