I just broke down crying when he did because it reminded me of my last day of 8th grade because my four years in the middle school was a life-changing experience for me for being in the LIFT program at my school. I too got to make some wonderful friends and work with some very cool people. I'm starting to cry just writing this very sentence.

We grew up watching Ryan / JT grow up on Degrassi, so it was devastating to watch him leave the show so suddenly. We miss you, Ryan! J.T. was my favorite character! He made the show something to remember. And, because they started out with such young characters then, the new ones are a lot older and more dramatic. J.T. gave the show it's comic relief and made it a bit less troubling. None the less, I couldn't have thought of a better way to get rid of the best degrassi character EVER!
