  • LMAO at the snare at 0:17

  • @JeDeSoN2

    Nathen Medina.

  • Wow

  • haha that snare trollin the background... bobbin up and down

  • What kind of sticks are they using? And I love them, they make yamaha sound like sex...

  • @TheDrummingsquirrel that's all tuning and how they approach the movement of the stick, sound quality my friend ... that takes the type of stick out of the question when you have it

  • @jonnyeis I know that much, I said I love the quadline and how they make Yamaha of all things sound sexy. I just really want those sticks because I prefer sticks like that over mallets with cookiecutters.

  • i do not........and probably never will grasp the concept of how 4 or more tenors in a line wil sound this clean.........

  • we use the same stadium stands..our drums are yamaha but they are the feild series i think

  • Cool! Are the Bluecoats based in Ohio?

  • guys im an 8th grader, about to play either quads or snare. what should i choose? What is more fun? What is more popular? Thanks

  • @sumbooodeeee try both and see which you like more. (: Quads are heavier than snares, but that shouldn't really be a deciding factor of what you choose. After playing around on both you should be able to decide. (:

  • @F3ARMUFFS i like to play quads more, but i want to be at the top of the "food chain" Also im already have muscle to hold the quads

  • @sumbooodeeee There's no such thing as a "food chain." I disagree with the idea that snares are better than quads are better than bases are better than cymbals. I think each individual person is at their own level of musicianship, and the instrument can't decide how skilled that musician is.

If you like to play quads more, play quads. (: You'll have more fun, trust me.

  • @F3ARMUFFS i have another 2 days to decide.. im really good at snare and reading but bad at reading quadss. should that affect it or is that how it is like for everyone

  • @sumbooodeeee According to you comment youve already chosen. But, reading quad music come easier with experience. This is coming from someone whos played them for two years. Just started reading my winter line music this week. Good luck with whatever you chose. :)

  • All snares secretly wanna play quints................ and all quints secretly wanna sound like tonal basses

  • @pyro9029412 I personally hate tenors..

  • ugh i've been trying SO long to figure out exactly how they tune. can anyone help me out? based on other videos i got an A or BbM7 chord starting from the 4 drum but this video just confuses me O.o

  • The tenor player is scott nelson

  • 2 of the tenors players is on the blue devils one on tenors one is on set can anyone name them lol

  • 0:10 lol @ first snare in line. Just starts grooving while he's walking ;P

  • I will trade my left nut for this music if you have it.

  • i wish i was that talented....

  • 0:19 snare in the back lol

  • That is a very nice camera you have there. This is just a nice video. Everything was nice. =)

  • No rims, like four bead collisions, but for as fast and as good as they are, that would be, "bad." Bluecoats still are the best in my opinion.

  • Those heads sound so tight!

    Gave me eargasms!

  • For some reason, i think there's just too much resonance on their 4 drums, and it doesn't really sound too good, but thats just me.

  • i wanna learn this! sheet music?? :))

  • So sexy....

  • Great quality video and sound

  • does anyone have the music for this

  • Blood Sweat and tears. U guys need more credit than your given. I love ya

    BLUUUUUU

  • 0:18 snare dancing in the background FTW

  • Blue Q!

  • Drum four sends chills down my spine

  • when i watch them warm up, i always wonder how great the instructor has to be @.@..

  • Was this Flam 1-2-3? Or some Tenor only exercise?

  • @DangStraightAwesome I think this is Blue Chops. Full battery. they didn't play it much.

  • I didn't know it was possible to make Yamaha tenors sound good...

  • @CincoSnare76 agreed.

a lot of nightmares about getting new heads on a show day...

    T.T

  • @CincoSnare76 yamahas are some of the best drums..

  • @crimsonTenors1191 Not there tenors

  • @CincoSnare76 I bet it's because of how deep the shells are.

  • can a camara like that record say a drum set perhaps?

  • Is it weird that I have an erection?

  • @AndrewGilcrest It be weird if you didn't.

  • @AndrewGilcrest It would be weird if you didnt.

  • @AndrewGilcrest Lol...I have the weirdest boner right now...

  • lol at the snare in the backround

  • what sticks are those.. anyone know

  • arent tenors really heavy?

  • @Soljahboy666 the junior size, not really. the full size, they can be, depends on who makes them, some of them are a lot shorter depth wise and are a little lighter. i played tenors in HS and after a while they start to hurt your lower back

  • @Soljahboy666 yeah

  • :18 HATERZ GUNA HATE

  • First off, let me start by saying holy shit, because they did ten times better than I could ever do. Second off, There were some ticks and maybe one or two spots where it's questionable as to whether or not they were dirty. But, I'm not gonna bitch. It was still hella effin good.

  • i like SCVs tuning on tenors better...thats a truly beautiful sound there. but blue coaats have good tuning too.

  • Tasty tuning, I still like Tim Jacksons 05 tuning more.

I wouldnt call out ticks or rims unless I was good enough and made a top 12 world corps....

Even then I wouldn't because I'm not a douche bag....

  • Lol. Kinda sounds like "99 Bottles of Beer!"

  • Ever tried not hitting any rims with those kind of sticks? snare sticks? its pretty tough, especially in an exercise like that.

  • yamaha tenor

  • hardest triplet tenor exercise..

  • Rim rim rim rim rim

  • I'm reminded of Cheezy Poofs

  • the sticks look like cigarettes

  • These guys are awesome! But there are a surprising amount of rims hit in there...

  • Wow, really nice quality!

  • Dude bouncin' 0:18

  • DIRRRTTTTYYYY!!!!!!!! Devs blew these guys out of the water!!!!!

  • Gosh these tenors are SO nice. I love the 8 inch

  • @budwayz THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

  • hey what heads are they using

  • this is beautiful quality. major props.

  • What excersise was this?

  • @AKzosorocker Blue Chops.

  • hot beats!!

  • this junk is TIGHT

and those are probly THE best tuned tenors ive ever heard

    coats were NASTY this year

  • @CFoxsnareTASTIC thank you for not cursing when you say that. i hate people that over use curses.

  • blue chops!

  • ahaha jesus nate

  • haha why is nathan walking like that?

  • loving the band aid on the furthest guy's (from camera man) right index finger. So true.

  • ha, yea i had a bad blister that wouldnt go away. hurt like mad.

    -adam

  • Adam, It sucks when there is literally no chance for those things to heal because of the constant practicing and rehearsing. I had a huge open blister right on the pad of my left thumb the last week of the season, it pissed me off so much!! The tape/band aid made gripping my (marimba) mallets impossible. I think I'm going to try super glue next time it happens. it's supposed to wear off at the time time the cut/blister heals, and totally waterproof as well.

  • it works, superglue is awesome. Nuskin works prety well also, but not as waterproof. Just be sure to let the supergue dry before you pick up the mallet! haha.

  • why didn't you record anything else lol

  • Haha... I did, just haven't got around to posting it.

  • @KeithLaub

    Post it already!

  • I love it!

  • blue chops?

  • absolutly flawless quality..BIG props man, and ofcourse BC is #1..to me

  • I used a Canon HF S10 with the DM100 mic for the audio. Thanks for the comments, guys!

  • Yeh, what kind of camera was used on this? looks great! and the guys sound good too :)

  • wow, incredible video quality!
