Great performance - but it could've been phenomenal, if it wasn't for the messy agitato section. Wrong notes, bizarre tempo shifts and dynamics, muddy sound. The remainder of it is masterfully done, albeit a little faster than I prefer, but he gets the cantabile out of that melody, making this a true nocturne -- bravo!
This is very special...what an ethereal tone Cherkassky achieves here in this last of the Nocturnes, the subtlety of his interpretation...an absolutely exquisite performance...Cherkassky was just about the very last representative of a Golden Age of great Romantic pianists...wish I'd heard him in person!
何故、この演奏が素晴らしく思えて、pogorelichの演奏が理解できないのか、そのことが一番不可解です!!!!!

Wonderful. Cherkassky could be magic at times.

How serene! And the pianissiomo! Anybody knows, what kind of instrument he was playing? Sounds too soft for Steinway to me. Was it Fazioli?

Magnificently poetic and understated in the most refined way. Gorgeous playing.
