  • im hungry us to oh a snack hey gimme it no!

  • They shud put Justin Bieber in there with them...

  • did anyone notice how completely stil they wer at the begining?

  • they are red-bellied pacu ..a relative of the piranha.

  • @manilag1rl Sry dude but you don't know piranhas. Those are pygocentrus nattereri for sure. And best not to argue on me with this check my vids i breed these i know my own fish.

  • Lolz stop givin' poor fishies junks..... Give 'em a lamb!

  • This is Chuck Norris's swimming pool.

  • dude nice vid and i think they were getting fed worms idk though because they look hard so anyway nice vid!!!!!

  • chuck Justin Beiber in there!

  • i would love to put my lil bro in there 4 a min or 10

  • wow, its possible to feed piranhas without completing its owners sadistic pervert mind...very rare on youtube. gj

  • @d3rm4us Seriously, the people that throw in live creatures are just sick and sadistic..... They really need to keep watch on people like that. Torturing animals is a tale tell sign of a serial killer..... Once they lose the kick from small animals they move onto people....

  • @IndiePoppedhearts it's not torturing if they end up dead, especially if it's for feeding purposes. Go watch the animal planet or something, it's the cycle of life!

  • @rebelsouljaz You are retarded. Enough said.

Animals in the wild get a fighting chance. the weak and the slow are usually the ones picked off. They aren't bred to die. : the infliction of intense pain (as from burning, crushing, or wounding) to punish, coerce, or afford sadistic pleasure

A human that chooses not to kill an animal before feeding it to another animal and then watches and enjoys it, is sadistic.

  • @rebelsouljaz It is literally torture by definition of the word.

Don't even think you can try to correct me, you obviously don't know enough on the subjects to try and speak to me in any way even close to an equal.

IF you're going to feed your pets fresh meat like feeders, you should kill them before hand. That is what a sane, compassionate person would do. Also (especially with snakes) it is SAFER for your pet.

Don't make asinine comments directed at me.

  • @IndiePoppedhearts and you really need to go do some research on your own and not believe all the crap your told, some animals actually kill for the hunt! not always for food! are you gonna go tell them that it's not right to kill either? It's part of their instinct you dumbass. it's LIFE, deal with it!

  • @rebelsouljaz its actually the word SOME , because its not a general aspect about animals that they enjoy killing.

and a rabbit is not created to fight a wolf , fool. it is a) hiding or b) running, which that thing CANT if u feed a wolf in a cage etc, its not nature at all, so dont call that ur point in ur discussion.

  • @rebelsouljaz and if u put a mouse into an aquarium just to see the blood comin out of that poor creature and fighting for his life (which is useless) its just cruel.

no piranha is gonna say *uhm... dead mouse, no thx. give me a living one*

  • @rebelsouljaz Go speak with a few human and animal specialists. You obviously don't pay attention to the animal planet. You have some questions you need to be asking if you think it's ok to enjoy watching other living creatures eaten alive. Fascination at what you can't help is one thing but ask any psychologist, to create the situation is a totally different matter.

  • @rebelsouljaz SO, again. Keep your asinine comments to yourself. If you like things like that, go join a reality tv show and pump our fists Jersey Shore style like the rest of the heathens.

  • @IndiePoppedhearts well... totally agree.

  • green beans

  • looks like they're feeding them beans o.O

  • The food looks like string beans....

  • Awesome swarm great video.

    Peace

  • my family eats piranhas....they make good soup

  • In response to if piranhas taste good... Yes actually, the locals eat them all the time.

  • did ya no tht pirahnas dont go after human meat that often, even with blood in the water?(1 out of 10 times they kill and eat humans)

  • I wonder...If pirahna taste good?...

  • lol good question haha

  • Not really, it taste like just piece of meat w/ a unami taste to it,

  • @TimeLess0000 umami

  • I've kept piranha's all my life. Marine fish, african cichlids, south american cichlids as well. Piranha's are actually an entirely shy sub species of tetra. Black piranha's tend to be a bit more aggressive than red bellies. Also there are white's which are a sub category of black's and there also are the rare yellow belly's and whipple piranha's. There are others as well. Either way, nice vid. Piranha's are a beautiful fish misunderstood. They hunt in school's for survival, that's all!

  • Yellow bellied, or pygocentrus piraya, arn't rare. Also keep in mind the elongatus and cariba are really agressive, i've seen some elongs that are so aggressive they attack the wall of the tank when you walk up.

  • Yellow bellied are entirely rare in captivity here. Almost every aquarium in our region sells whipples, whites, blacks, red bellied piranhas. Rarely have I seen yellow bellied piranha's being sold here. When they are available, the price is significantly higher. I realize they are found in abundance in their natural habitat. It's for the best anyway as that's where they truly belong.

  • Don't you mean 'Wimple' species, rather than 'Whipple'??? Check your taxonomy on Piranhas - I don't think you'll find a 'Whipple' species, but you will find a 'Wimple'...

  • i have kept a pair of red bellied for years now and they are probably the most easily scared fish I have ever kept. I have to be careful not to move anything too fast of they think they are being attacked. They freak out when I go in to fix something or clean the tank. I can't imagine them attacking anything that is larger than themselves, but then again they are not in a school.

  • Where's the food?

  • what are they feeding it with..?

  • no live feeding in london. how typical

  • Beautiful, I love the vallisneria in the background and the way the water refracts the light.

  • CHECK OUT aquarium contest part 1

  • cool

  • lol, their all like: Any Second Now we'll get our snack. Wait for it, wait wait, aaaannnddd, NOW!!! ATTACKK!!! lol

I noe it sounds immature :P

  • pretty cool

  • why dont they eat eachother?

  • Comment removed

  • Because they're not starved to death.

  • it would be cool if they ate each other

  • they arent green beans they're meat sticks

  • Cool - vegetarian piranha! I didn't know they ate green beans!

  • lol

Well actually in the wild they will eat anything - veggies, fruit, meat, fish, they don't care.

  • true

  • how big are they ? i can't really tell if they are small or really big..? lol

  • i think i will visit london zoo this summer

  • Looking for a specie reference, super aggressive black super red, has a red belly but black face and some shiny yellow spots towards the back. Cannot be put with other piranhas, as it will kill them. Will kill and eat other fish in less then 5 hours, as told to me. Super feeder, eats and eats, etc.

  • Great video. For the people asking about what they are feeding, chances are they are a small fish known as silversides. I have 10 Redbellies myself and I include silversides in my fishs diet.

  • well im looking to buy as phirana but i dnt know where i can get 1 in london and wah type of tank to buy, any info?

  • dude..you need a huge tank to keep a group of these fish.they are very expencive and need very high protien food.cleaning the tank can be hard aswell

if you are a begginer in fish keeping,i would go with some think esyer.i have owned and breeded fish for 3 years

  • Might be cheaper to buy yourself zoo membership. Only about 30-50 quid a year, and then you can regularly see the Pirhana's. Plus you will be supporting research there. I personally go to see the Apes more often, but have been a member for a few years.

  • Great footage - and a great zoo, to boot.

  • ok i need help i have one piranha red belly and i want to add two more but i dont want the new ones to get attacked do you guys no how to do this help me plzzzzz

  • but a divider between the fish so where they arent able to get to each other for a couple days so they get used to seeing each other in the tank if the new ones or one in the tank is smaller put hiding spots where the other fish cant fit for the other to retreat

  • Looks like they are feeding them sand eels.

  • That wasn't a great deal of food; how do they know it's been evenly distributed amongst the fish?

  • It takes time for a single fish to eat.

They know how many fish there is in the tank so they just put in that amount of fish.

there was more fish there than you think.

  • plus piranha can go weeks without eating.

  • its just like the wild, not all fish eat like others.

  • Looks like they're feeding green beans, although I'm sure they are small fish.

  • yo tengo una piraña y quisiera q fuera asesina como las de los bideos

  • lol throw a kid in =p i went to london zoo and didnt manage to see this but i was there when they fed the crocs =D

  • they should through Dick Cheney in with a tub of these hungry bastards..maybe a Rockefeller or two..

  • agreed.

  • i want to add to my previous comment it wouldnt let me add anymore! they are great and beautifull fish by the way! and a great video of the feeding time! they are wonderfull to watch eat!

  • what are they gieving them they should be eating a protien diet like most pirahnas i have! it brings out their color and its naterual for them to eat meat not veggies! out in the amazon do they grow beans in the river? no its other fish or stupid humans and other animals!

  • those are beans!!!!

  • ha ha ha ha

  • peas?

  • they should feed them live food

  • lol so calm until they dropped the food

  • throw them a big mammal next time :P

  • Yeah Like You!

  • so you can see them tear it apart, not just taking little pieces, I can do this with normal fish -.-

  • Deffo Red Bellies And The Big One Is Amazing!

They Looked Like Green Peas In Pod But Unusual So I Would Say Some Sort Of Worm!

  • what where they being fed? and which type of piranha were they?

  • i think meal worms or sum type of worm

  • I'm not sure what they were being fed but they are red bellied piranhas. Thank you for watching!

  • smelt

  • lol what a waste smelt is my favorite id rather feed them worms lol

  • @webbnick84 it looked like sand eels

  • @webbnick84 i think that they are feeding them needlefish.

  • @webbnick84 Its either smelt or anchovies for a guess?? Its just because, this is the way i feed my piranhas.

  • @webbnick84

red belly piranha, and they look to be eating some sort of stringy fish >_>

  • @webbnick84 look like worms
