  • "WE'LL BRING IT BACK BUT IT WON'T BE EASY"

That's the approach I like to think myself taking towards music nowadays. One can dream.. we need to change the fucking airwaves.

  • ....Mike Turner kicks ass!....hmm, they haven't had the same kind of success since he departed....I wonder?

  • what an intro

  • This is one powerful ass kicking tune. One of my all time faves

  • By far one of OLP's best songs! Wish they were still rocking like the old days but they've just become too meh.

  • fuck i love this one

  • FYI, This is Mike Turner (the old guitarist) playing on this song.

  • What happened to Raine's intro!?!?

  • @broski1993 believe you can thank much music for that edit!!

  • NICE!!!!! \m/

  • we jammed in the same building as them!

  • Don't know them but this tune's got a good groove to it. Hypnotic.

  • Anything pre-Gravity is AMAZING..the rest is poppy comercial stuff. And you all KNOW it.

  • @maluko2 totally

  • I discovered them yesterday .. definitely awesome band with a unique sound ♪♫

  • Shekha 2 OLP don't like to be labeled.. they our if you our to label them "Canadian Rock" that's it

  • duh of course they rock they are Canadian !!!!

  • playing on the same stage as these guys at big finger fest :'D can't wait!

  • I let go of the world that was holding a passenger that couldn't fly.......

  • The first 3 albums by this band rocked hard.

  • @Jahandaar the first 2

  • These guys seemed to be good for one kick-ass song per album, and the rest is crap.

  • @johnmckenna80 youve never heard clumsy, good song after another!

  • Great snare sound on this album...

  • Comment removed

  • I love these guys, been listening to OLP since I was 12. I didn't like Gravity though, I thought it was really weak compared to there older albums like Naveed, or Clumsy.

  • @MrByrdman85 I hear that. My mom bought "Clumsy", what a fantastic album. Basically, everything after they let go of their old guitarist is.... ehhh.

  • Wicked track, this and Naveeeeeeed :) Keep rockin'. Love the band.

  • These guys are definetely up there with the bigger alternative bands of the time. I can't say they were underrated, because they had their fair share of popularity ( they played Woodstock 99) but I'd assume they weren't popular when this came out.

  • Our Lady Peace did not sell out. People seem to forget this is their job, their bread and butter to feed themselves and their families. It is easy to sit back in your comfy wee chairs and pass judgment. Are they playing Justin Beiber pop? no they are not. A band can change music styles, they have to, to survive, as music trends change. David bowie changed all the time, that is why he is where he is. The Cult changed from the Goth band into arena sellouts. Did either sell out, no.

  • @railch I totally agree and have always said as such about musicians! They can't keep writing the same songs over and over again, and if some of the stuff they write happens to be written along a more pop-like line, then so be it. THEY MAKE MONEY BY PLAYING AND WRITING MUSIC! Also, think of this-- starting out in a band is hard as shit, and if you actually want to go somewhere, you have to dedicate nearly all of your time to it! Even then, success is not an absolute outcome--it's still unlikely.

  • The percussion/drummer is the center piece of this song. The soul and body, with the vocals make this song what it is. Great. Always loved this song and always will. The drummer deserves major cudos for his ability.

  • Fabulous band.... luv em

  • What happened to all this good music! Man I miss it. In jr high I used to listen to my little clock radio for hours to this stuff, what I would give to have had an iPod back then ;)

  • rippen turns'.. may we all have peace

  • OLP have to be my favourite band in like... the world! It sucks that it's considerably harder to find their stuff in the UK, or at least from my searches. I always get really excited when I find someone in the UK that loves them xD

  • olp makes the most unique music

  • Great first album. It's just a shame they couldn't keep up the consistency...

  • @AlanAbbott What are you talking about, Clumsy was an amazing album as well as Happiness! It wasn't until Spiritual Machines that they started the downward trend and I refuse to listen to anything after Gravity. What happened to the good old days!?

  • @broski1993 They stopped becoming musicians and sold their talent for a few extra bucks, which sucks, cause I agree Clumsy and Happiness is probably their best albums by far.

  • @gnshat1 Naveed is best.....and no, they didn't sell out.

  • @velocistung yea Naveed is up there because it was the their first album, but if i do recall there first 3 albums were very very unique and great, if you listen to gravity and up to present, one they switched labels to a more mainstream which altered there sound to shit, which becoming mainstream made them more money.

  • OLP faded after the 'Happiness....' album. I guess Mike Turner brought more to the table than I thought.

  • search on "GISARE"

she got talent ! just listen to her and her song !

    Me(gisare) singing bail away

  • The 90s, gotta love 'em

  • Gets Down...... gotta love it

  • such a good track, don't like the new stuff though

  • Even Robert Plant from Led Zep loved these guys. Too bad after this they changed.

  • Remember when Our Lady Peace was good

  • whoooooooooo...i remember those days...love this band

  • These Guys are Great!!!

  • these guys are blowin my mind, crazy epic only discovered em today!

  • hell of a good day

  • @001seetherfan Their early albums Naveed and Clumsy are great.

  • @001seetherfan That's what you get from Canada! Coming to Brantford Ontario June 5th alone with other great Canadian bands, can't wait!

  • damn right man, olp is canadian music at its finest, well this era

  • @001seetherfan

There first album (where this song originates) is the best the rest is downhill, where they currently stand OLP is a shit band.

  • @001seetherfan

    Welcome aboard

  • @001seetherfan their newer stuff is nowhere near as good as this.

  • @Altorin Different guitarist. I actually like the new guy, but admittedly, Mike gave them a LOT of their initial flavor. He still runs a recording studio in Toronto. Cheers.

  • FACT

  • rap music makes niggers and wiggers rob and stab people

  • @captainjack77 wow can u be more of a sterotype...

  • how am I personally a stereotype. you're a fucking idiot lol you most likely mean to say i AM stereotyping. anyway take care abdul

  • wowowoowowoow!

  • I haven't listened to this song in almost a decade. Annunaki anyone? Nephilim er... wtvr?

  • yes please

  • nice music!!!

  • Canadian music rocks!! =D

  • i second that olp is one of the most amazing bands......its an opinion and should be a fact

  • Saw them last night here in Jacksonville, Fla., at Freebird Live. Awesome show. Was hoarse this morning from singing along! They give 100% at their shows.

  • Oh yes, they sre still around. I never got to see them in the 90's, but I will be at House of Blues in Orlando tonight to see them live. Raine has an awesome, very intriguing voice. Great band!

  • Comment removed

  • these guys are still around right? i remember this song being on the armageddon sound track, and i was like 7 when i bought it, my very first cd, and listening to these guys and thinking "wow these guys are so cool!" now im 18 and i guess i stoped listening to them XD just remembered this song

  • yeah, they're still around, but they've adapted more to a pop rock since about 2001.

still, this is a rockin' anthem!

  • cool song

  • I think it was played while they were dodging the meteors...but it was not played that long, just a portion of the song i think.

  • i would like to know why this song is on the armageddon soundtrack since i can't find the song anywhere in the film? If someone knows please put me out of my misery and let me know why? WHY?

  • I dunno why it's not in the film but it really fits with it.

  • End credits? lol

  • A great alt-rock song. Best use of drop tunings I've ever heard!

  • Classic Alt-Psych - Evokes memories of The 13th Floor Elevators.

  • fuck, that guitar tone at 0:54 is ridiculous.

i still remember the first time i heard it and yelled "now that's rock tone!" to a friend of mine.

  • i just fucking love that song it's a classic!

  • I saw these guys in concert in Gravenhurt, Ontario. They're great!! FUCKING A!!!!!

  • love this band when this first came out i thought it was a new toadies song, both bands rock

  • they always encore this song

  • My favorite OLP song.Long live this band!

  • They're great, in the old times and now, every album they did is a great album.

  • I saw them this summer in Austin - awesome concert, by the way - and they closed with this song. I can't believe they can still pull a song like this off at the end of a night. It was amazing.

  • Great tune when it came out 90's RULE!

  • Hey shit for brains it came out on the Naveed cd in 1994. It was added to that soundtrack in "02. Pull your head out!

  • dimwit

  • moron

  • it's not easy to follow this up as artists are always held to expectation after each piece. I like old OLP the best and the new stuff I don't touch but I would still offer a given thank you for Naveed and Spiritual Machines.

  • Bad Ass song!

  • Still my fav song by OLP

  • I don't know why I always forget this song when I think about Our Lady Peace cuz I love it haha.

  • I just found out that Duncan Coutts appears as an extra in this video. Cool.

  • Is he the guy with the hat looking at the monkey?

  • Back when they rocked

  • Comment removed

  • A truly under-viewed song. This song has teeth!

  • This song is kickass

  • This is one of a few songs that I bop my head to when I am sitting down and I know over 300 songs..... thats saying something. Love it.

  • You know over 300 songs huh? Wow. Very impressive. Are you 15 years old?

  • Are you

  • *clap*

  • At 3:30 the sound tanks... dammit!

  • amazing song

  • classic love it

  • it has to be twenty years old to be considered a classic

  • I saw them live on the beach in Va beach ocean front with friends,in the sand chicks bikinis it was wacked and imagine this song played cranked on the ocean it was sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet 1996 I think?

  • sorry it's only 15

  • anybody with half a soul would hear what raine's singing about. anybody who doesn't get it, well...so be it. they're f*&ing shallow and lost. :)

  • why does the sound change near the end?

  • around 3:28

  • bad recording quality?

  • final encore at the concert down the street a couple weeks ago!......leave 'em wanting more

  • lockport?

  • This song is so fucking intense, and awesome.

  • Look Its Saul Fox At 1:45 (The Man On Most Of The Covers Of Olp Cd's)

  • And look at Taggart too.

  • wow they are sooo young here.

  • Raine looked kinda like Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura back then

  • I saw OLP live saturday and they were great. They played their good stuff not just their new stuff.

  • these guys were better than a lot of over-rated overhyped 90s bands that couldnt write songs like metallica, pearl jam and some of the pop stuff

  • this is one of the greatest songs ever....

i saw these guys a couple yrs ago....this was the last tune they played..sick concert from a kick ass band... this band has a lot of hits

  • cant beliveee you walked out on an olp show....

  • Awesome song.thanx for uploading ^^

    brings back memories.

  • This is an amazing song. Love this group!

  • 3:28 on?? what happened?

  • Raine always looks so ackward in videos, like he has no idea what to do with his body.

  • why does everyone compared OLP to theory of a dead man? OLP are alternative, original and amazing, while theory of dead man is just another wannabe grunge act like nickelcrap

  • damn right. theory of a dead man, along with nickelback, are THE worst band in the entire history of forever. shitty music, terrible childish frat guy lyrics. plain shit. OLP may be one of the best bands of all time.

  • well maybe not theory of a dead man... they have a couple good ones, but nickelback just suck. no one should compare them to olp.

  • yah, olp kicks nickleback's ass

  • Yep. Another example of a band that's gonna get passed over when they're eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • why?

  • Cause they're not that popular in the U.S. Most Americans only know Somewhere Out There and Innocent.

  • frat guy lyrics pfft, i think they have meaning and most certainly are not frat guy lyrics, listen to if everyone cared for example.

  • you must come from a retarded place :o lol

  • ????

Where did I once say anything about where I "come from"?

  • noone asked ur opinion. OLP is an amazing band. I happen to think they are one of the best. If you don't like it, DON'T FUCKING LISTEN TO IT

  • Oh? No one asked my opinion? Well no one told me to keep it to myself either, so whether you like it or not, you're gonna read it and enjoy. ; ) And where did I say I didn't like it? I fucking love this song.....so if you don't like opinions, don't be a hypocrite and shove yours where your boyfriend shines.

  • @shreddinmetal4life theory of a deadman suck ass hairs. that's not opinion, it's fact.

  • umm, well, your 33% right there. Theory of a Deadman doesn't suck, and it's not a fact. But you are right, it's not an opinion, means the source is mentally disabled.

  • @mikecappa dont be stupid. YOU CANT ARGUE MUSIC, OR ANYTHING OF TASTE FOR THAT MATTER. I HATE RAP, BUT NOT EVERYBODY DOES. THEREFORE RAP IS GOOD TO SOME, AND SHITTY TO SOME. SAME THING WITH ALL MUSIC, DONT FIGHT ABOUT MUSIC. i dont like theory either, but you cant say FACT: THEY SUCK.

  • nah man Theory of a Dedaman was never this badass. There songs today are more about break up songs. this song gets me pumped up for something with its bad ass riff. This was also a perfect song for Armageddon by the way. Anyway bad ass song.

  • Haven't heard this song in 10+ years. Loved hearing this song on the radio around 94/95 and haven't heard it again until today. :)

  • haha good beiginnings xD

  • olp's music is....olp's. there is no comparison. never sold out. there music is true to what they are.

  • this song is fucking is amazing.

and spanky, stfu you piece of shit.

Raine is amazing and continues to sing like he has; his voice is very distinguishable.

shut up and stop buzz killing.

    OLP ftw forever.

  • the drummer?... yeah he is a totall badass

  • Honestly sounds like Theory of A Dead Man to me. But awesome band

  • OLP have beena round since 1991...TOADM started in 2001.

  • oh then my bad, TOADM sounds like OLP. i just found out about this band i dont know my facts

  • whoaa this song is awesome, I was only trying to look up a bunch of nutters who think they are aliens with telepathic abilities, but these guys are good.

  • hahaha.....good one

  • calm the fuck down you stupid piece of cock

our lady peace have remained true to what they feel, which is the opposite of selling out. The new album is going back to their old roots. So stop being a cunt and learn the facts

  • Fuck you ignorant prick, I'd like to see how fuckin good you could sing after 10 years of singing in a falsetto like Raine... he just can't reach these high notes anymore, so they have to adjust their music. OLP still rocks

  • Teach me to learn the facts of music-liking, jim.

  • to the guy who called olp emo......are you out of your mind?

agreed thier sound has changed a lot, more political over the years and evolved but thats what makes a good band...that doesnt sound the exact same 10 years later..like say..nickleback. im stoked olp has always been true to what they beleive and feel...even if its not "trendy or popular" and yes...they are still around and are working on a new album :)

  • Can't think of a Smashing Pumpkins song that sounds enuff like this to see what Mr.Corgan would be pissed about. Cherub Rock? Not a big Pumpkins fan so,probably something I've never heard. Still like both songs ,good stuff from back in the day!

  • alternative rock

    real music

    real band

    not other thing

  • This is great ! Any1 else think they sound like the Cult? Another Rock N F#*king Rolling band! Probably just me.

  • Actually, I always thought this sounds more like the Smashing Pumpkins, even Billy Corgan said he had a beef with OLP.

  • i love smashing pumpkins too, but this doenst sound like smashing pumpkins...fool.

  • They're kinda like Stabbing Westward meets Audioslave. I can totally see the Chris Cornell influence. I would say Soundgarden, but they seem heavier than all the Soundgarden that I've heard.

  • i wouldn't compare them to audioslave/soundgarden/chris cornell at all. olp are just... their own blend of alternative. never really heard anything like them. i guess that's what's good about canadian music though, the few bands we have actually sound original.

  • this is my 2 year old nephews favorite song lol every time he comes over he goes "put on my favorite song Lo-Lo"

    soo cute

    such a great song
