  • The law of non-contradiction commands that competitive claims for objective truth about a matter cannot both be true at the same time. So Jesus was telling the truth, was a liar, was deluded, or was a fabrication. His lifestyle and self-sacrifice renders the liar hypothesis unlikely, Deluded but he apparently performed miracles? fabricated, but His disciples went to death for what they claimed to have seen & there are historical accounts of him by His enemies.

  • @Valanor1 I know the historical case for Christ well. But it's is not as simple as you paint it. Yes, it is beyond reasonable doubt that there was a Jesus and that he was executed. But the events of the gospels are not corroborated elsewhere. And since there is so much supernatural content, the bar for evidence is legitimately raised higher than it would be for regular history. Tacitus, while confirming Jesus's existence, even refers to Christianity as a "mischievous superstition."

  • The existence of demons and real suffering in the world and how the biblical world view addresses this suffering and human tendency toward evil, this is convincing for me as to the validity of Christianity. I'm not convinced that any non Christian can experience the Holy Spirit as I and my companions experience Him.

  • isaac newton was a Christian.I'm a Christian and I feel the holy spirit right now. For me even if Christianity falls away I am still intimately connected to God, and nothing can change that experiential knowledge and reality of that relationship. What you are saying is plausible, I have other experiences that are consistent with biblical account of things. e.g exorcisms, healing, the resonance of truth of Jesus' words, words of knowledge(i.e God revealing personal secrets, heart issues toothers

  • The whole point of being reconciled with God is to have direct access to God. Once you have made this connection you no longer need a priest because you are a priest (Rev 20:6). You are no longer under any set of rules because you are under God's direct guidance (Rom 8:1-2).

  • i thinking God can use the natural in the supernatural at times....thats how the spiritual experiences maybe....i had an experience in the word of God that i didnt have before that shook my understanding back toward it...i dont worry about religion....there is a word about religion what it is in the bible..pure religion undefiled is.......?

  • fascinating! i have had almost exactly the same experiences that you talked of, but with different names. im taking a logical guess in saying that perhaps your story and life is the same as mine, just a few chapters ahead. very interesting indeed

  • Did you know Satan can mimmick miracles as well?

  • @SentientProd Then how do you know the resurrection of Christ wasn't Satan's doing, pulling the wool over your eyes so that you would believe in a false messiah? :-) Or ... we could simply take our experiences at face value and analyse them sensibly.

  • @darrylsloan I actually have a perfect verse that will answer that, I don't know if you're looking for an answer that doesn't come from out the Bible, but this is how Christian's know that it wasn't Satan. Read Mark 3:20-30 and tell me what you think. I would really like to have a friendly debate with you, no insults or anything.

  • @SentientProd Are you sure you quoted the right passage, because I looked it up and couldn't see the relevance?

  • @darrylsloan Look up Mark 3 verse 20 through Mark 3 verse 30 it talks about Satan cannot be divided against himself

  • @SentientProd Good grief. I don't even believe in Satan. You're so wrapped up in the "my religion is the only truth" mentality that you've lost all perspective.

  • @darrylsloan Can I ask you a question? If Satan does exist contrary to your belief, would you be sad knowing that you rejected the truth? You can believe that a train doesn't exist all you want but if it's coming your way and it hits you, you can't use the argument that "You didn't know or you didn't believe it existed"

  • @SentientProd Here's a better question: Is it better for a person to believe in something just for fear that it might be true, or is it better to follow one's own reason despite fear?

  • @darrylsloan Yes I agree with the second choice then the first. But, I don't follow it for fear like some people though, I follow it because God has given me so much, used to have a disease and I was healed of it and also I am getting so many blessings that I love what God has to promise, I don't fear him. Fear is in people that don't believe or have a hard time accepting, it's not for believers.

  • Our ability to reason what God should be puts aside any faith that we had in His love for us...

and makes ourselves & our own intelligence & intuition "god"

  • God reached out to us through Godly men who transcribed His inspired word, the Holy Bible. The book has all the answers, not men. I did not hear you say that you sought God through reading His word. Have you studied the prophesies that have been fulfilled through only one man, Jesus Christ? Spiritual experiences can be counterfieted by demonic influence as a destraction from God. Our ability to reason what God should be puts aside any faith that we had in His love for us...

  • theres only 1 religion could tell what you really are and what are you cant tell what is it :(

  • darryl, after I deconverted from christianity, I wondered how to make sense of my spiritual experiences of infinite consciousness. then I realized that people in other religions had spiritual experiences and answered prayers too, not just Christians. thus spiritual experiences did not prove that the Bible was all true, only that people can access God through different religions. it was the only logical conclusions. I will PM you my story of when I first experienced infinite consciousness.

  • Going beyond "I had this strong feeling" is self-deception, you can try to make it fit whatever woo beliefs you like but you still don't know any more about it than "I had this strong feeling", meditate for your own wellbeing and don't try to define it would be my advise. I had the same feeling of the oneness of the universe and all things contained within when I tripped on LSD, theoretical physics seems to indicate that belief is correct, if it's not there can be no "theory of everything".

  • @ninjatoothpaste I think chakras are just a very intuitive human way of visualizing these feelings, that's what spirituality is about, understanding yourself, the world and your place in it in an intuitive way rather than in an objective scientific way. As long as we don't confuse our personal spiritual answers with real scientific answers we won't go too far wrong I think.

  • I had similar experiences to you, they were all related to experiencing the wonder of a sunset, or watching the night sky and feeling a oneness. I turned to nature-based religions, which are much more flexible than one-god religions. The feel of the power in a thunderstorm, or the enormity of the sea, invests a godlike consciousness to them. The old pagan earth goddess and gods for every natural phenomena seemed to fit how I felt, but I needed a personification of that consciousness: Bastet.

  • Well this is something Im going to show my girlfriend Denise as this is exactly what she said when we both debated each other. Her words recently were that God is "love" and everything else has been made up. Now for me as you know I don't believe in any deity at all. But, I do want to check out this whole Chakra theory as I'm limited in knowledge about that. I was reminiscing on your comments on Timelessness, I think it will take many hundreds of generations to get there.

  • One of the biggest eye-openers I had was the realisation that the rejection of dogmatic religion did not necessary leave me with materialist science as the only possible reality. We have a tendency play snap-to-grid with archetypal belief systems, but I think the whole truth (whatever that is) usually lies somewhere uncategorised.

  • I think what you'll find, especially when one marries timelessness with an uncategorised spectrum of existence in one shape or form is that the actuality of freedom from physical form and also freedom from the shackles of the terms & conditions of time (as a forward construct) will inevitably breach a new comprehension of spacial ability far beyond linear existence, the science of which I believe exists in ourselves so far incomprehensive, but given time, will one day be uncovered.

  • Jesus says the only way to the father is through Him and Him alone (John 14:6). This does not, as you will know of course mean the spiritual experiences can not be realised by other 'non Jesus' routes but i do not belive these to be authentic. The Bible mentions after all counterfeits to keep people distracted from pursuing further and deeper levels of the Truth of Jesus Christ. Sorry for the back to front epilogue lol. Lynne

  • @Moffpot1982 One person's spirituality is another religiousity. As a Jew, judging by history, I'd say the Pharisees have done a lot better than the Xians Peace love wisdom

  • else having that. From watching your vids i am a bit confused as to why you seem to equate Christianity as a religion - Jesus was not religious. The pharisee were religious and indeed put practices and procedures in place to 'access' the throne of God (emphasizing externalities) but Jesus was far from religious and condemned such man made practices. True Christianity is indeed what you discuss as communing directly with our creator (our own personal heart relationship)...

  • Hiya. Sorry if this sounds really ignorant (i'm having one of these days.lol). I have had the two experiences you mention and they were amazing - esp the one you name the intuitive one - i have experienced that twice. Tbh a little time after i had it the 1st time i had started to attribute it to 'emotionalism' - then i had the 2nd and i just KNEW that i knew that God was 'touching' me :-) It was encouraging to hear you talking of the tightening of the stomach one as i hadn't heard of anyone.....

  • not a problem brother :)

  • i have had the same experiances you have had when i was searching for "god".what amazes me is how that connection DOES dissapear the more you delve into this "regualr life" we carry (wich tells me the way we are doing things is wrong).religions are all false.if more "christians" would take upon themselves to really act as the christ did they would have the same experiance but instead they go to church & follow a "priest". same goes to any other belief system. we are all one in god. much love

  • Thank you for sharing that.

  • 2 Great videos, and very interesting too. I think human kind needs to move beyond religion as a whole, if that's possible, in order to move forward. Outgrown is a good word, we have outgrown it but maybe not all of us have recognised that yet, but we really need to. But I agree, abandoning religion does not negate the possibility of spirituality. I did a vid response to one of your other vids on my old secondary channel now closed, might reupload it on this one.

  • Thanks, Albert. I spotted your response and have just approved it. Glad you uploaded it again. It's nice that my old video is still getting some views. In many ways, the "Consciousness, perception, reality" video was a pivotal video for me. I think it was the first time I tackled anything deep on my channel.

  • This has hit the light switch in my head. One of the big, big things that has kept my clinging onto Christianity, is the spiritual experiences that I've witnessed with my own eyes by The Holy Spirit.

Thank you for making this video, Darryl. I feel myself gradually making my way towards something very profound and significant in my life.

  • I'm glad you found this useful.

Looking back, the "Holy Spirit" experience I had in the past seems mundane now, certainly far less important to me than the intuitive awareness of the love of God I experienced during heartbreak.

I suspect much of what happens in charismatic Christianity involves the stimulation of emotion to produce a "magical" working. It might alarm you to know that occult ritual has the very same basis, according to my research. I won't make a firm connection yet though.

  • @darrylsloan welll im muslim, sooo i belive in allah but god and allah are the same but they have brought me peace and happyness so i dont question it

  • @darrylsloan i mean thing not person

  • I understand.

  • i agree my friend about not subscribing to any one religion, i hav'nt abandoned my faith platform only memberships to any one religious society. there is so much more you learn form studying many religions and drawing out the key points of each. so much to say but space is limited here, wish we could talk .thanks, ATLANTIAN TRAVELER

  • i like it darryl, very nice i've always felt that my experiences were valid outside of my religion and i liked that way you made your point about direct contact with the divine. I still feel that religions are a force for good too though. And i get the same stomach feeling when i try, watch and see if when you use your hands if you can feel it pulse there or not thats something i've noticed generally when i am successful i can feel it right at the base of my thumb. best of luck to ya peace

  • You are dead on. I was brought up Catholic, left the church and God. When I came back to search God I went through Baptist, Pentacostal and Charismatic. Then I spent a summer with God, similar to your couple months. One of my favorite song lines says, "God doesn't even go to church." It does take courage to question what you've been taught your whole life though. Major Cudos, brother.

  • i hear ya! i think fear holds alot of us back from our own personal truth. nobody should be afraid to search for god in their own way. i was raised to never question my religion in fear of burning for eternity in hell. even though i didn't feel comfortable with my religion i still had that fear of questioning it. i was taught that if i question my religion then i was basically going against god. i don't believe that anymore. i do believe in god and i also believe that i don't have to label god.

  • that reminds me of a video i watched of an Exorcism from a hindu religeon. they called god Ala, and still the person(spirt that was possesing) writhed in pain. and ive seen many christian exorcisms, where the same thing happend. god is real, religeon is unessesary.

    great work darryl

  • nicely done

  • You are a great teacher, Darryl. Our thoughts are right in line. It's interesting... you have a long history of being influenced by Christianity, and I have thankfully never been indoctrinated by choice or force... and yet we arrive at more or less the same kind of place regarding spirituality.

  • I'm very interested in what you have to say, and I like these two videos alot. Everything you've shown so far, I can completely relate to. From spirituality, to telekinesis. I'm younger though, so all this realization so soon has left me a bit confused on what to do with my life lol..

  • As a former JW, I no longer believe in organized religion. But before I took the road of atheism, which I was very close to doing, I couldnt deny God because of certain experiences that Ive had as well. In fact, like you, most of my thinking was done during a time when I was heartbroken when my ex left me. I therefore agree with your entire video for the exception of boxing christians as a religion. I consider myself a christian but do not subscribe to any religion. (cont)

  • I believe that we have 1 creator although it saddens me when u hreligion promoting false gods that prevent every 1 else growing spirtually ya kow ice series 5 stars for both

  • I'm saddened when I see just how many people seem incapable of thinking and wondering about things. Intelligent minds, a product of millions of years of evolution reading 'Hello' magazine. Scientists, great minds that are unwilling to even look at things they can't explain. The key to spirituality surely must be obtained through deep thought and exploration - an expansion of our individual minds - not collective thought. Maybe then we can move on. Great format btw! Hope you do this again!

  • lol darryl's a theoratical physicist at heart.

  • there you go! same sentiments here ..

A man with the "right stuff" to start a reformation or a new world religion.

your theology may be just what it takes to fill christendooms vacuum of disillusion, and make you the "Martin Luther" of our age . Go for it!

  • Thanks for the compliment, but I have to say, the words "new world religion" make be uncomfortable. Spirituality without religion is the answer, where everyone is free to find their way on an individual basis, and no beliefs become so sacred that they cannot be challenged and amended as new insights emerge.

  • i have astral projected a couple times but the first time i didnt know what was happening i was vibrating and a couldent move or speak it was extremely scary then i felt my astral body come out of my physical body and i could see my own body sleeping i was so scared that i was put back in my physical body i now know that the vibrations was hundreds of small chakras in my body vibrating i was wondering if you could make a vid about your opinion on astral projection? 5/5 love all ur vids = D

  • would survive and last much longer than those who didnt have at all. in fact those who didnt have any religions simply vanished without any traces.

anyway, overall its pointless to figh against religion, and its one of those topics that can lead to war.

  • I think its not an idea of fighting against religion, but reather improving it. Because your right, it is completely understandable why civilizations (let alone people) would survive longer. An emotional attachment to being comformable and secure would proabably explain that best. But why can't we do that, but with a... possably... a spiritual scientific phylosophy based society?

  • but you do understand for the same reason that religion cant just fade away. although i think all religions are fake, man-made, but i also think they are important. religion fills the gaps in understanding, it also binds people and connects them together.

there was scientific article about belief and religion, that belief in higher entity is inborn, and from their statistics it also shows that tribes that had more complex religion or belief with more rules,

  • 'Everything is one'

There can not be a more directly accurate description of our reality today!

Powerful messages again Darryl thanks !

  • You are my favorite Vloger, thank you Darryl for your perspective.

  • Very deep. I can't wait to read Reality Check. A friend of mine tried to buy it off amazon but accidently bought Reality Check by Guy Kawasaki. Ooops. You have a great knack of keeping the audience...keep it up.

  • Yikes. :-(

Reality Check is only available directly from me, through my website, and can be ordered worldwide. It's not on Amazon, I'm afraid. I could have listed it, but it would have been a far more expensive product.

  • I know that, he's just a dumb ass lol. My Mrs. is ordering my copy righ now. I'll read it and then if it's OK with you, I'll review it on youtube. Although It's a christmas present, so I'll still have to wait for it. lol.

  • Just spotted the order in my inbox. Thanks again. I'll pop it in the postbox on Monday. :-)

It would be super if you made a video review. And by all means, say what you think, good and bad.

  • Feel free to sign it ;0) So when you're putting scientists out of jobs because they've questioned everything they thought had been proven, and you you're a world famous writer...I can be like, "I used to talk to that guy". Hee Hee

  • Great Video. Agree with the lot. Peace mate.

  • YAY first comment!

  • ty for uploading btw i love your vids.
