the strings are ear-piercing at certain points and the harpsichord voice is definitely slightly delayed. if you just changed those two this would be a pretty impressive arrangement. also, the intro clips. trust me, my soundcard works perfectly.
@theredkatana there are a lot of production issues with the early songs I made on my channel, and not just the WC2 songs. These are almost two years old and I feel I've improved a lot since then. I may redo all of the WC2 songs at some point for people to download in some fashion or another. I have a re-done Alliance 1 song just sitting in a folder if that gives you a possible indication :P.
I'd like to think these songs, regardless of flaws here and there, are still fun to listen to though.
@TenchuXmusic they're totally fun to listen to, and a good start. i just think this could be a great remaster if you worked out the kinks, which you definitely know how to do in all indication. hope to hear the orc 1 redo some time.
@Demetrius900000 It's not better than the original because the original composers made the music to WORK with the midi synthesizers they had at the time.
When you redo a piece of music from scratch, it can be difficult to make it sound on par, or better.
Warcraft 2 :D !!! Go warcraft. Warcraft 3 yay!!!!! I pray to see the day when the announcement video of Warcraft 4 is released. Wow nuts dont get to carried away. I know blizzard isnt done with Warcraft RTS. It will be there next stratedgy after Sc2. Trust me i know. I said back in 1999 we will see sc2 in like 10 years as a joke and i turned out to be right. Its been about ten years lol. i said there would be a diablo 3 also.
What separated the humans and orcs so much in the WC2 soundtrack was the music. The orcs had a lot of harpsichord which I believe is no longer the case in WoW. In WoW it's just a lot of lumbering sounds with french horns and the like.
This soundtrack's sound had to do a lot with the "sea unit" part of the game, and the whole "pirate" look.
WARCRAFT 2 had the BEST MUSIC EVER...dude you are a god revamping this also..I love warcraft 2...dont get me wrong warcraft 3 is amazing but,,warcraft 2 felt Super MId evil,,the armor ont he Footmen and the Graphics,,i mean they shoulda made war3 just like warcraft 2 but better graphics

it's too fast the harpsi seems unable to keep up with drums and the whole track is sped up a bit too much in my opinion...
Not to put a damper on your memories but the song has not been sped up at all. I listened to all the original songs multiple times before Remastering, and just did so again after this comment. It's accurate.
The only error I really caught was that I had the volume too low for the spiccato strings directly after 1:26 (they are very hard to hear).

warcraft 2 is the best out off the warcraft series hope they mak wow more warcraft 2 like in one off the expansions.
what i liked most was the 4 horned helms of the orcs and the medieval metal armor of the footmans
