8th- Im tall and skinny. Im popular. I straighten my hair and use makeup everyday. Im not a goody-goody at all. I always have a boyfriend now.

I'm English so we don't have Middle School. You have primary school until you're 11/12 then transfer to High School which ends when you are 15/16 then you have college until you are 17/18.

Middle school was bittersweet. I was the first one to go through puberty in my whole entire grade (got pimples, got fatter, and got taller). I also got glasses in middle school. Was the best years of my life. Every day, the guys in my class found something new to piss the teacher off,People got sent to the office, and usually a fight went down. And sometimes you'd get on the bus and either a fight went down, someone's food got thrown out the window, or a paper ball fight. But still, id rather be in middle school.
Now that Ive had some high school experience, I think middle school is BY FAR way better than 9th-12th grade....6th grade was crap but the 7th and 8th was a breeze!
And what made middle school so much fun, was that one of my friends (not a close one) got pregnant at age 14! Woo! (sarcasm)
Well, I did except during those times I almost got jumped. I don't really know when to shut up, so when I told a girl she would end up at McDonald's working until she was 50 it didn't turn out so well. Even if it was true I should have probably kept my mouth shut

middle school was so funny my grade got like fifty rules changed each year we were there it was insane. in 6th grade some kid brought in vodka, some teacher came to school drunk, and we werent trusted to walk to the high school for orientation (its like two feet away) so we all had to sign permission forms and pay 2 dollars so we could take busses. still funny time

At the time I was chunky and only wore hand me down clothes. For some odd reason I rhymed when I wrote crush notes. So when I asked a guy out it was a well written poem without realizing it. The guy wrote back. "This is a great poem. But I sort of like Katie in more than a friend way. sorry." < Something similar to that. I ripped out what the guy wrote and showed my poem to my English teacher. I got extra credit and she showed it off to the class. At least everyone else realized my awesome
Middle school was awesome for me. I hit puberty around 11 so I came into middle school looking pretty much like I would the whole time minus a few inches. I was the anti drama friend that watched as it unfolded whilst adding either my fuck them advice or sarcasm I am sorry for you comment. My only issue was that I had some mean eyebrows but that totally beats the the kids with crazy braces. Chick fights were awesome too. A girl got her weave pulled out and she tried to put it back in. I loved Middle School too. I was a band geek,i was chosen top band student, always in the band room whenever i could. My band director was one of my best friends. I was either practicing my instrument, conducting, or geeking out w/ friends. i was in the top music groups (minus orchestra) I was nerdy and dorky and loved science english and history, but i was well liked by my peers and teachers. I tried to stay away from the drama. Sure it was an akward time but i made the most of it:)

So, I'm sitting here technically being a freshman in High School but having hardly any electives because I'm not at the High School and there's not enough teachers here for any good electives (such as creative writing) and, by 9th grade, everyone's pretty much evened out anyways so that's no fun.
i went to an all girls school so basically most of the fights we had were about who was a lesbian, which, when you're 12 was deemed horrible "OMG YOU ARE TOTALLY STARING AT ME, YOU'RE A LEZZER !" by contrast in my final year if you were getting fake hit-on by you're fellow classmates at least once a day something was wrong.
Ugh it seems middle school would make things much easier, in England you get thrown straight from Primary to Secondary school when you are 11 and thrown in with the 11-16 year olds and it is REALLY bad in the younger years, but awesome at senior years like year 10 and 11.
Hey i just got out of middle school. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXACTLY LIKE YOURS. middle school was THE BEST. you have a bunch of groups of kids, the pot heads that want sex and think there tough. the jocks who sports are life and get all the girls. and the regulars like me. we get some girls play not school sports and half a specific group of friends. everyones hormones are going crazy everyone likes eachother and some kids get laid its i dont know its a great experience in my opinion.

Middle school was an awkward mess. It was a K-8 school, and when we were in 6th grade, all the 7th and 8th graders hated us. There was so much homework. Especially in 8th grade, what with all the state testing. I agree. the drama was fun to watch. I think I stayed out of it, mostly.
I was home schooled throughout middle school, i only went to sixth grade for half the year and i hated it! But now i have a better appreciation for school, two years at home got pretty boring.

In Chicago, we typically don't have middle schools. Most of our schools are K-8, then 9-12. I worked at a middle school in Seattle. I personally think 6-8 graders NEED their own school. A principal who handles K-8 all at once can't give proper attention to the needs of adolescents.
i was called down to the office once, which was in a separate building as my current class. on the way back, i noticed that it was a very long walk all the way to the door of the building, then down the hall to my class. i also noticed a wide open window right next to me leading right into my class. so i jumped through the window, and my teacher looked over just in time to see me and all my stuff land on the floor. lol even she was cracking up!
B: HATED MIDDLE SCHOOL. First off, it was a Jewish school. Second, the girl cliques in my school all had acronym names. JASCOLT, JEMS, RRRRA. I was in JEMS. BUT HOLY CRAP GIRL FIGHTS. And add Bar and Bat Mitzvahs onto that and you have complete awkwardness for 3 years.

At the time I was chunky and only wore hand me down clothes. For some odd reason I rhymed when I wrote crush notes. So when I asked a guy out it was a well written poem without realizing it. The guy wrote back. "This is a great poem. But I sort of like Katie in more than a friend way. sorry." < Something similar to that. I ripped out what the guy wrote and showed my poem to my English teacher. I got extra credit and she showed it off to the class. At least everyone else realized my awesome

Middle school was awesome for me. I hit puberty around 11 so I came into middle school looking pretty much like I would the whole time minus a few inches. I was the anti drama friend that watched as it unfolded whilst adding either my fuck them advice or sarcasm I am sorry for you comment. My only issue was that I had some mean eyebrows but that totally beats the the kids with crazy braces. Chick fights were awesome too. A girl got her weave pulled out and she tried to put it back in. Good times

I loved Middle School too. I was a band geek,i was chosen top band student, always in the band room whenever i could. My band director was one of my best friends. I was either practicing my instrument, conducting, or geeking out w/ friends. i was in the top music groups (minus orchestra) I was nerdy and dorky and loved science english and history, but i was well liked by my peers and teachers. I tried to stay away from the drama. Sure it was an akward time but i made the most of it:)

Middle School was the worst time for me, but then again I went to an incredibly ghetto school where kids did it in the bathroom. Since none of the ghetto kids liked me, I had to hang out with snobby, preppy girls who were really overly dramatic. After 7th grade, my parents homeschooled me and I went to a charter school during high school. Leaving the public school system was the best decision of my life.

Aaaaaah...I agree, I was the same. Most everyone was either having sex or one drugs or a curious combination of them both. They also were constantly arguing and pissing each other off, though not necessarily fighting, and I was basically like Switzerland in WWII. No sgn of choosing sides. But I enjoyed those awful, stupid immature days...

So, I'm sitting here technically being a freshman in High School but having hardly any electives because I'm not at the High School and there's not enough teachers here for any good electives (such as creative writing) and, by 9th grade, everyone's pretty much evened out anyways so that's no fun.

i went to an all girls school so basically most of the fights we had were about who was a lesbian, which, when you're 12 was deemed horrible "OMG YOU ARE TOTALLY STARING AT ME, YOU'RE A LEZZER !" by contrast in my final year if you were getting fake hit-on by you're fellow classmates at least once a day something was wrong.

Ugh it seems middle school would make things much easier, in England you get thrown straight from Primary to Secondary school when you are 11 and thrown in with the 11-16 year olds and it is REALLY bad in the younger years, but awesome at senior years like year 10 and 11.

Hey i just got out of middle school. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXACTLY LIKE YOURS. middle school was THE BEST. you have a bunch of groups of kids, the pot heads that want sex and think there tough. the jocks who sports are life and get all the girls. and the regulars like me. we get some girls play not school sports and half a specific group of friends. everyones hormones are going crazy everyone likes eachother and some kids get laid its i dont know its a great experience in my opinion.

Middle school was definitely an awkward mess for me. Basically, I didn't know how to dress or act. I tried, and of course failed. I had lots of friends in elementary school, but they all knew how to transition to middle school and I didn't. I also had absolutely no knowledge of how to talk to boys. That was even more of an awkward mess. Yep. I was a dork. And on top of that, I was the tallest person in the grade. The absolute TALLEST. Taller then alllll of the guys. Thank god for high school...

Middle school was an awkward time for me physically, but I had really good friends. Your story reminded me of when my friend pretended to punch me as I sang the song, "Girlfight." My principal called us over and she asked in a very serious voice, "Girls...are we having issues?" It was funny because we were like the biggest goody two shoes ever and the look on her face was cross between extreme horror and disbelief. Oh, good times.

Dude I love your energy in these VEDAs. It's definitely different from your more milder approach.
In Chicago, we typically don't have middle schools. Most of our schools are K-8, then 9-12. I worked at a middle school in Seattle. I personally think 6-8 graders NEED their own school. A principal who handles K-8 all at once can't give proper attention to the needs of adolescents.
BTW, no Napoleon complex here. :)

i was called down to the office once, which was in a separate building as my current class. on the way back, i noticed that it was a very long walk all the way to the door of the building, then down the hall to my class. i also noticed a wide open window right next to me leading right into my class. so i jumped through the window, and my teacher looked over just in time to see me and all my stuff land on the floor. lol even she was cracking up!
