@MrMusikRnb I disagree. I think this is a good song- maybe it's as cheesy as Gouda, and it sounds a bit dated now, but the tune stays with you for ages after hearing it. There again, maybe I'm a little prejudice, and I'm a little embarrassed to say this, as it sounds like I'm name dropping, but an acquaintance of mine from my school days who sat next to me in physics class - well his dad wrote this song. I jest you not. :-) Still failed physics, though :-)

I didn't come here after having played Vice City. I came here after not having heard this song since the 80's. We grew up wallowing in pop songs like this. I was 11 when this came out and remember it equally from kitchen table radios and make out parties.

As for the kitsch factor. Back then, when the Japan wave hit in the early 80's, Japan was still considered exotic and distant. The apparent silliness of an English dame dressing up as a "geisha" just didn't strike you as so absurd.
