  • @KillaC4Mammie I thought you brown it first too. There's a Ciao Italia venison stew on here where its browned first and then wine cooked. i'll try both.

  • how long do you leave it in the crock pot for?

  • IT sure looks good,I used to hunt and help us out threw the year, but no one seem to let anyone hunt anymore unless you pay a month pay or better.

  • good stuff mate

  • The problem with this recipe is cost.

    Venison's deer, isn't it?

  • @sweet518 Yes but the point is to shoot it yourself, rather than buy it at a store.

  • @Crich775 oh deer!!!! you didnt get that one did you lol

  • @sweet518 yes its deer

  • This was a fantastic recipe. I made considerable adaptations but the base was the same. I used 2 cans of broth and had to add some water to boot. My crock pot is considerably larger then the one in this video lol I feed a small army of young men.. all my sons ;)

Added some red hot to the mix instead of jalapenos... worked nicely just don't add to much or it overpowers. For the gravy I used plain flour and added my own spices. The use of the jelly definitely made the difference to us. Thanks

  • sounds awsome i just processed 5 deer this weekend and am trying to find some kind people who are willing to share some recipes with me i love venison and i must agree that this recipe looks rather deilicious if you have any recipes you would like to share i would greatly appreciate it

  • very nice!

  • i buy my deer meat at 100lbs of meat for about 1.25, atleast thats what i think my ammo cost : ) per round!

  • lol lmao good one

  • @b18c5integra i shot the last one with a mosin nagant so it was less than that more like .50

  • This recipe looks great. Can't wait to make this. Watching the video made me starving! Great post.

  • man that makes my mouth water-i got to bag one this weekend so i can try this

  • This is a great recipe! Be sure not to use too much red currant jelly. It will be too sweet. I made this during Thanksgiving and everyone loved it!

  • Can you use chicken broth instead?

  • Absolutely. I wouldn't recommend it, though, any more than basting a turkey with A-1.
