@imatelly Dude, nobody is saying that a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen won't start a motor. But in order to get hydrogen and oxygen from water you have to get energy from somewhere, and you're gonna spend more energy than the mixture will provide when it burns. So, unless you go solar or wind power, it's not convenient to electrolyze water to burn hydrogen and oxygen.
