Veggie farms around the world from USA, EUROPE,Australia Africa used to have millions and billions of animals but since the land became veggie land the animals on that land are extinct. Thanx peta and vegetarians for killing billions of animals! When peta comes to NAMIBIA to take pics of wild animals they have to do this on conservationist properties and trophy farms. If they visit the veggie farms they will go back home with hardly any pics of animals.

theres enough meat on that bull to feed a family for a month i bet. surely going and hunting your meat is more sustainable and has less environmental impact than farming. in the UK rangers have to cull bull deer in the scottish highlands each year to control a population with no natural predators think about it.

The mewing sounds are not from the elk, but from the hunter calling after the shot. Most people don't die quickly, nor do deer and elk when eaten by predators or in countless other ways.

1) Google "carrying capacity" to see how a biologic system works.
2) Check out who actually pays for wildlife preservation.
3) Stop eating beef. For every 1 head of cattle the same grazing area would support 3 Elk or 5 Deer.
4) Check your own footprint. Your home, roads, that Starbucks and Mall you frequent, even the hiking/bike paths you use all had an impact.
There are just as many ethical hunters as ethical naturalists, and just as many hypocrates in both camps.

You're referring to the history of industrialized beef consumption; i.e. the beginning of the percentage I just referred to dropping. There might be some confusion here so I'll state it in simpler terms: for around 11,900 years, people have been hunting for their own meat (remember, Columbus wasn't the first to discover America - he just put it on the map).

theres enough meat on that bull to feed a family for a month i bet. surely going and hunting your meat is more sustainable and has less environmental impact than farming. in the UK rangers have to cull bull deer in the scottish highlands each year to control a population with no natural predators think about it.

Every dollar spent on hunting equipment, ammo, arrows, guns, etc there is a tax that is charged to go to wildlife conservation. Without hunting you wouldn't even see these animals on your nature walks, because there is NOBODY else that spends as much money on these animals than HUNTERS!

@MultiSquat that was a quick arguably painless death. The elk is obviously somewhat confused after he shot and fell over dead in less than 20 seconds. The mewing sounds are not from the elk, but from the hunter calling after the shot. Most people don't die quickly, nor do deer and elk when eaten by predators or in countless other ways.

You really should be picketing slaughter houses or KFC, or Denny's. If you've ever watched video of what happens in the slaughter houses that would make you sick. I make a real effort to not eat fast food or meat when at restaurants but I do buy venison and wild boar meat that was hunted. That Elk in the Vid lived a free life, not raised in a cage from birth to death.
