@oldsouthpaw I know exactly what you are saying. My partner and I will be together 17 years on Dec. 23rd, 2011. We have surpassed marriages of other family members as well. True love is the only real thing in this world, and has no boundaries for sure. Over these 17 years he and I have raised my three biological sons, and have 9 grandchildren between the two of us. He had 2 daughters of his own as well. True love stands the test of time and all obstacles thrown at it.

Fantastic classic love story, classic perhaps because of the loss of one so young and talented. Sexual orientation is so not an issue in stories of love , the complexity of love is more the story, relatively complex at the time, in ouir times realted to same sex, at one time related to young people actuall y chosing...all evolves...It was once more frowned on for a working class person to have a relationship with upper class than same sex relationship...growth is good

Heath and Jake were the "perfect" actors to portray Jack and Ennis, this had so much to do with the films success and overwhelming acceptance by most individuals seeing this remarkable film.

The result of such a closeness by these actors after filming this movie is only natural and is predicated on the closeness of the scenes they had in the filming. Heath having a baby with Michelle, Jake being the Godfather of that baby all part of a bond developed in filming.

He was, he went into seclusion for over 2 weeks and from what I hear he's still not over Heath's death..You notice how little you read or hear about Jake now....he does his best to stay away from the press and the hounding that they are so good at...Jake is Michelle and Heath's daughter, Matilda's Godfather in case you weren't aware. That's really just how close they really were after the filming of Brokeback Mountain.

the movie may not be real, but the love and heart felt desire and connection is. I'm sure that a lot of guys have there own BBM story to tell. But mine mimmicks BBM in so many ways it hard to watch. To know that their is someone out there who was made for you but you can't be together for whatever reason, is a torture hard to take. Love this video. it does help dealing with my on BBM story.
