  • I did this aswell when I was 14. I just had to check out how it was done;) And im really happy with the result. The root has attached nicely and it feels like it has been there all along =D

  • i have an extra pre molar on both sides of my uppers. (like two spare tiers hopfully!) i have fillings in my right molars and recently i went to a diferent dentist (my prefered regular was out of country) and was given extensive replacement fillings to deal with internal decay an they give me shocks when in contact with metal. i googled and read these light grey fillers were supposed to be temps to boot (and electrolite- no shit) conduct hot/cold like a bitch- how much is transplant? nhs?

  • That is very cool.

  • i have on left a second premolar facing my tongue as in your video of tooth transplant and a missing tooth( right first premolar).

i feel a little pain when i touch the base skin of the second premolar.

can it be possible to have another tooth under the second premolar?

    im 20yr old.

  • omg gross! what if the tooth comes out?

  • @TheMayoHELLO : The tooth will not come up because, immediately after the surgery, the transplanted tooth will be splinted with the neighboring teeth using an orthodontic wire. After about 4- 6 month, we can remove this wire because the tooth will be anchored to the bone with the periodontal ligament ( collagene and elastine fibers), like alll the natural teeth.

  • omg, that was fully hectic sick. gr8 job Doctor maxim

  • Dr Maxim thank you for this video , well done ..

are you going to stabilize this tooth with any mean ? have you treated the transplanted tooth endodntically before ?

how about the occlusion ? are you planing to put it out of occlusion ?

    thanks ..

  • Thank you odontica for the question.

Well this right premolar was treated endodontically by the specialist 2 weeks before the procedure ( you may see the endo tratement in the movie if you pause it when showing the x-Ray), and immediately after the placement I splinted this tooth with the neighboring teeth with a rigid stainless steel wire and than put it under occlusion. (I didn't show the remaining of the movie after the tooth placement, but may be I will).
