Not really. You need a GR module to provide the +/- 15 volt power supply. Then you need some way to access the hex fuzz output, carried on the 24-pin cable.
Hey there, i'm desperate to get my hands on an 808 or ideally a 303 like the one here, where should i be looking because i've had no luck so far, thanks.
Ebay is the place to find used gear. These have not been in stores for 20 years, so the G-303s and G-808s out there are in somebody's collection. If you are desperate, I would certainly check out the Roland VG-99, you can easily buy a VG-99, and if you check out the GR-300/VG-99 demos, you may find that this meets you needs.
This guitar WAS NOT made by Ibanez, this is a ROLAND guitar. Many people incorrectly say Ibanez built these guitars, but not true at all. This was made in the Fuji Gen Gakki factory, which ALSO made Ibanez guitars. It would be more correct to call it a Greco guitar, since Greco offered the exact same guitars in Japan, but without the synth electronics. Ibanez DID made a 24-pin guitar synth controller, the IMG2010. It is very different.
Is the guitar made by roland also? or is it like the new gk divided pickup mounted into that guitar?.... very cool man, I have never seen either of these roland products...

Adrian and Robert from King Crimson used the GR-300 heavily in the 80s. Robert used the GR-303 too, e.g. "Sartori in Tangier" (YT VID tq7rt-7MqOw).
