I grew up listening to Jerusalem, and followed Ulf Christianson's solo career as well and LOVE these great "swedish" musicians. With that being said, let's not FIGHT for any god(s). Let's just fight for equality, peace, and love.
GREAT BAND.... fairy tale music??? @216trixie, what do you listen to? DIO, BLACK SABBATH?? If you cant believe in this, what do you believe in? Im not getting down on you, Im just wondering..... Maybe aliens and elfs are more believable? just wondering.... no childish attack towards you intended.
@216trixie Just because you do not understand most certainly does not mean you actually know anything about what is real or "fairy tale" But your comment is typical of the arrogance and narrow mindedness of many non Christians.
@tebbo56 You sure assume a lot about me. I probably know more about your fairy tale than you do. I was a believer for years, a Bible major, at Biola University, Youth pastor, worship leader, street evangelist. bible study leader, and all around on fire, in your face born-again Christian. Fortunately, twenty or so years ago, i got free of the delusion of faith. Hope you do to. There's no gods, certainly no Bible god...Bible god commanded and ordained murder, rape, slavery and more, not nice.
@216trixie I'm really interested in what scriptures you have to back up "Bible god commanded and ordained murder, rape, slavery and more, not nice". Not singular verses out of context, either. I honestly don't know what's worse. A Pagan or an 'educated' Atheist.
@dggranger69 There are dozens of verses, and i've gone into them dozens of times with dozens of Christians, and I'm tired. You know what I'm talking about. Numerous ordinations of genocide. Multiple commands to capture innocent virgins, for the pleasures of the priests and soldiers. {that would be rape and kiknapping}. We all know that Yahweh gave explicit instructions on keeping, beating, and passing on slaves to your kids... Look 'em up, then rationalize your monster.
@dggranger69 I don't know which is worse, a smug Christian, or a dishonest one. I was a Bible major at Biola University. For years I was a youth pastor, street evangelist, worship leader and Bible study teacher. Read the book a whole bunch. How about you?
@216trixie I've studied several religions in depth. Sounds like you put your faith in a human instead of what you should have and were disappointed. That, or your guilt of indiscretions and being human knocked you down. 'There are dozens of verses' - I'm pretty sure you are thinking Old Testament, and probably out of context, like a lot of people do. It sounds like you have morals still, or am I wrong?
@216trixie I went through a long period of being out of fellowship. Mainly due to my disgust with hypocrisy in the church. But then I realized, people are human, and so am I. I'd rather make an effort at something and get it wrong than to not make an effort at all or completely walk away from something. I can't always say that I agree with some theology and philosophy matters, either.
@216trixie Anyhow, feel free to express your freedoms and continue on your path that has contributed to the plague of today's society and be imperfectly human. God bless, and my prayers for you.
@dggranger69 What's the "plague of today's society?" Curious. And don't boast about contributions to society, when the Bible has been upholding "god's will" of slavery for two thousand years.
@216trixie looking at some of your videos, I think you already know some of the things plaguing today's society. Crime, murder, etc. - for no apparent reason. Maybe if everyone's morals were in line -- not to say if everyone were Christian per se -- we wouldn't have overcrowded jails, sex offenders, etc. et al ad infinium. So, you're saying doing God's work in the church, etc. is 'slavery' and that we should all be 'free' from that to rape, plunder, etc. at our own will and bidding?
@216trixie -- So, just what exactly happened to you that made you fall from grace? What event in YOUR life changed you to whom you are today? I'm sure it could be nothing compared to the things I've been through in my lifetime, yet I still believe.
The best Jerusalem song is "The Flower" btw. :-)

Too bad. More good music and musicians wasted on fairy tale music.
