The thing I despise most about Obama is that he has absolutely no respect for his position and the image he must uphold toward the world. His repulsive ape of a wife is the most disgusting, disrepectful, undignified first lady in America's history.
George the Dumber was NEVER ELECTED! he was a deserter in time of war, and a man that is the poster child of stupidity. kept us "safe?" how in HELL do you figure that? when 911 was a PNAC farce, a set of wars, the bush wars, was started on lies. Never found Bin Laden, in fact exonerated him. george bush should be KILLED.
jtcajun no, you are no expert on history or foreign relations. Wall Street, including Prescott Bush provided millions of dollars to the Nazis as well as steel rubber and other materials to kill americans and brits with. George bush kept us safe? from who? He was first, never elected, he and his cartel lied about WMD, and the worst economic disaster in us history occurred during the bush squat. TARP is a bush cartel act. It was signed by george the dumber. No sir, you ARE NO EXPERT.
That low orders of life such as George W Bush after stealing the white house, all respect for it is gone. He and his family are a cancer to the world. Anyone who has pursued the REAL history the US see the Bush Family as no better than Mussolini, and his ilk, and deserve the same treatment.
@IRIQUOIS227 This is ridiculous, as I am an expert in the history of U.S. Foreign Policy and the U.S. Presidency. I came here because I honor JFK. However the comment comparing George W. Bush to Mussolini makes me sick. Bush was a good American President who made mistakes, but kept us safe. Mussolini was a corrupt, fascist, Italian dictator who was a sociopath and allied with the world's most barbaric regime ever, the Nazis, who were anti-Semitic and committed widespread genocide.
@gray70 she did that because as a child her and her mother were left broke as hell and reliant on the kidness of others. she always remembered that time. ime sure it was just a survival reflex. remember, aristotles children would remind her she would get nothing when he died. still, the woman was a very respected and successful print editor. so she really didnt need to do that. but, she was gonna make sure her kids were taken care of. cant fault her for that.
This presentation was posted by the JFK Library and some people still have the nerve to be so disrespectful and repeat stupid rumors. I thought Jackie was a great first lady and we as Americans have a lot to be grateful to her for. I read recently that during the Cuban Missile Crisis, President Kennedy tried several times to talk her into going to the designatged evacuation center in case something terrible happened and she told him each time that she wouldn't leave him.
She's so beautiful and intelligent! People should really let up on her... She did the best she could with what she had. Gosh, people are so judgemental...!
I live in NY (not originally from here), and I've always found the native NY accent disgusting (and I'm from the South)...I know that Jackie spent her formative years here (on Long Island), but it was affected...I prefer to describe it as New England-ish...she and Ethel sounded a lot a like, except that Jackie sounded slightly classical in her speech...British, almost...
Not hardly. All "polished girls" of her generation learned to speak this way. My Teacher called it "New England neutral" and you simply had to learn to speak this way. The worst thing was to sound like a "new yorker" with a bettie boop or brooklyn "cawfee Tawk" accent - or like that dreadful Amy Fisher.
Wow, I didn't know she did all of this. This is amazing, she should've been President. No other president I know is doing this. She really cared for the American community. She completed her task, she is a true Icon! I respect her. Her and Princess Diana!
This lady was a tremendous asset to JFK in his lifetime, and upheld his memory after his death. No one did more to enhance the White House as a historical landmark. Outside of Dolly Madison, no first lady was a better
@bookkeeper57 Kennedy was the first and perhaps the last american president that was really a leader and was felt, by the whole world as their president too. In a word seeking for hope, his words got echo in almost every country. His death generated shock, sorry and sadness in the whole world. My parents lived in South America at that time and they told me people cried there in the streets, when they learned about JFK death.
@HairyPotter2006 that is so touching .I wish we as a country were as sympathic to the loses of others...J.F.K.was the best president ever !Not because he was dem.or rep. but because he loved this world and wanted them to know and he did just that ......................................
If you do a bad job at being a mother. The rest really doesn't mean anything. Jackie Kennedy
Her children grew up without a father. From all accounts that I have ever heard. She was a great parent. I never read or heard her children ever having any kind of problems with the law, drugs, alcohol, nothing.
jackie and John F had something in common most people don't know. Neither had a Father that exhibited sound character. Both were very successful but were both womanizers. They had that in common which held them together but John F was also a womanizer times ten. She stuck by him to make sure the kids did not have the same heartache that she had.
Is that what you would do - aha.... More women today should take a leaf out of Jackie's book as she was the epitome of how women should be irrespective of their status. She took a high profile life and DID something with it. There is no conscientious reason why you remark bitterly. A great portrayal and thanks a ton to the editor and producer - if you've got more - please post them.
She had to marry someone. After Robert Kennedy was assassinated she became so dissillusioned by the American people, eventhough his killer was Jordianian, that she went overseas and accepted the largesse of a Greek tyccoon. The greek tycoon regarded her as a world trophy but Ive never seen photo of the couple in public kissing nor holding hands. She was not a gold digger per se because she wasn't a big spender.
LOL. JKO was an enormous spender. She had an operation going while married to Onassis. She bought tons and tons of couture clothes and accessories only to sell them to second hand shops in NY, pocketing the cash. She most certainly was a very mercenary individual.

A lot of young women married for money and raised children. That was a woman's place in the sixties. Furthermore, if you would consider the preservation of American artifacts materialism, than I suppose that says somethng about your judgement. I suppose hopelessely pouring sweat and tears into bolstering Americas youth is also materialistic too, right? Other than being epically retarded, I don't remember anyone recognizing fairyepic as an icon. So until you're on the level, shut the fuck up.
Look, I read her books, autobiographies and biographies for a school project. You don't know the pain she went through in her life, so you shouldn't judge others just by one thing. Learn the entire story...
I first saw him when he was running for re-election to the Senate in 1958. I heard him speak at a rally in down town New Bedford, Massachusetts and he was magic. I was just shy of turning 13 and I was so taken that he became my hero. He went on to become our beloved president and a hero to my generation. I doubt we'll see the equal of either President Kennedy or his First Lady. They were Technicolor while the rest of the world was in black and white.
When I saw 866-JFK-1960, I don't know, I started to cry. I was working for the Federal Gov't, VA Center, Togus, ME, fm. 4/62 thru 3/65. I turned 21 10/13/63, tripped over myself running to City Hall to register to vote.. for his relection. But, five wks later...
