the good thing f this design is that you only use one sticky piston and one normal piston... the other designs uses like about 30 piston and the redstone is more complicated... my version of your design its also a real mess on the redstone part... but maybe someone another person will find the way to make ik easier... the idea of placing just vertical power doesnt works... because the torches gotta get specific delay... a hint to build it is that beween the torches place 3 redstone repeaters...
@Aperfull and when you finish test it with the pistons and play with the delays until you get what you want... so every torch hat activates he pistons has it designated time... thats all, its pretty simple! :)
Ok, so this is like the best desingn ive seen for an elevator... its small, the redstone is easy (even whn it doesnt seems to be, is just making delays between the torches... I've made it in one of my oworlds and realize that it can also work going down but you wold need to change the delay time you have, oso that it makes it backwards... i have one that goes up and one that goes down... my idea is to combine it so hat one button goes up and the other goes down... maybe when i get it il show it
It took you 30 seconds to tell us everything we already knew from the title and the name of the uploader. Quit jacking off into our speakers and let your work speak for itself. ಠ_ಠ
Very nice lol. I actually thought about making a piston push another one and then that piston push another one but this method never crossed my mind. Hope it doesn't get fixed, thumbs up.
I made mine a lot more simple then yours but i have no way down.... Since you need a sticky piston on the bottom and a non sticky piston on top its impossible for it to go down or to reset itself
The same concept and torch pattern applies to going up as well as down, all he has to do is invert the state of everything, which is simple as a button connected to a RSNOR latch leading to a NOT gate at the output of the clock.
This is very very cool. I built one of my own (although I wired it a bit differently) and it works like a charm. I'm really curious about your "simple solution" that can make it go down again, because I've got nothing.
@The8bitEngineers HOLY S***, I made a replica and it works! Bottom piston has to be non sticky and top has to be sticky. Took me awhile to figure that out. I tired to improve speed with a rapid pulsar, but it was to fast for the pistons to receive electrical input. Still the best elevator I've seen yet though!
I was trying to figure out how to make an elevator using as many pistons as bloks you'd go up, but both ways. This is a lot more compact and far simpler.
If you can speed it up, perhaps a button would be simple enough to push it up several floors, at a good speed, and another button up top to reverse direction?
@The8bitEngineers I'm impressed, subscribed and ready to see more! I have an office building for the moderators on the server I help run, and am trying to implement an elevator.
But you could make the redstone part a lot smaller... you know that redstone can go vertical? You just put a redstone torch on the ground, a dirt block on top, and a torch on that dirt block etc.
@zmuppetz2 You're looking several mistakes combined with the right way. The redstones a mess but I wanted to get the demo out before I rebuilt it from ground up and refined it. The finished product should be smaller, the elevator part larger and faster as well, as well as be able to stop at multiple floors.
The tutorial never came......

This is awesome. Thanks for the upload. Looks simple enough really. Though, I could be wrong. Red Stone can be some complex stuff.

Did this have been fix with the 1.7.2 ?

@Madhibiki No, just checked, still works. And it's two pistons and a plank block.
The8bitEngineers 7 months ago
@Madhibiki If u watch my Elevator prototype u can see why the one in the middle don't work
Also if a piston is trigged (Not in default mode) it cant be pulld back...
