I think they should put up more unisex bathrooms that are closure inside the store.
They're mostly family bathrooms that are a bit larger so parents can be in with their toddler children to monitor them. Which is a great idea of it's own because it prevents kidnapping since it's a single unit room.
Also it's doesn't pronounce one's identity; and it should be the closest bathroom that way other people aren't curious as to why a "dude's" going to restroom at the far end of the hall.

i'm a women's and gender studies major, so we talk about things like people who have sex changes in my classes. if they're okay with themselves (some people aren't the same way that some gay people don't want to admit they're gay for any number of reasons), they will just do whatever is comfortable. there's no standard like, "well, you still have a dick so into the men's room with you!" people use the bathroom they are comfortable using.

For trans women, if they get bottom surgery, then they'll still be pissing out of their toy box. For trans men without bottom surgery, there are types of packages that allow you to piss out of a joy box.

i commented saying that people just use whichever bathroom they are comfortable using. someone responded to my comment (Fryjak?) saying that it should be what everyone else is comfortable with. i can't find the comment, but i feel like that's kind of ludicrous. what is the person supposed to do? poke their head in the bathroom and poll everyone? i'm a women's and gender studies major, so we talk about things like people who have sex changes in my classes. if they're okay with themselves (some people aren't the same way that some gay people don't want to admit they're gay for any number of reasons), they will just do whatever is comfortable. there's no standard like, "well, you still have a dick so into the men's room with you!" people use the bathroom they are comfortable using.

I work with someone who... has a really odd personality. Just really awkward around everyone. This person use to be a guy. Felt that they should have been a woman, so started like dressing like one. (not exaggerated) I think that if you still have the bits and pieces of your original sex then use that washroom, or maybe the single washrooms that are made for anyone! No I do believe their job is to put out fires. Just because they cannot put out every fire does not mean their job is pointless. Also the sogging the house up was likely to ensure a fire didn't restart as that happens with you know burning embers. Just a thought.
