Oi, Beiber and the rest of you so-called singers/performers....try and come up with something as fucking awesome as this then. You won't even come anywhere near it,ever!! Long live Freddie. Long Live Queen. Long live their music!!
The song is incredible overall, but the outro strikes me as particularly cool. You think the song is ending and then it happens.. I especially love the layered ascending vocal harmonies and how it leads right into the next song
@Rowdyrecords55 the same here, since the first time i listened to this masterpiece for the first time i thought the final seconds deserved more, especially the ascending layered vocals you mentioned.
Why do Queen get criticized and panned so much by the music press?..... Cos no fucker else can touch them for their musical genius and originality!! Queen are massive, the press don't like it. Tough!!

There are more than one Bohemian Rhapsody for real Queen fans and this song is just one of them :) I especially love this one and My Fairy King..Maybe Millionaire waltz uhh :P
I like how almost no one knows this song, yet it is this channel's top viewed because only hardcore Queen fans actually use this channel, and Queen fans listen to the good songs, not the popular ones. At a glance, you can see that the top videos are: This, The Wedding March (from Flash Gordon), Lily of the Valley, The mIllionaire Waltz, Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together), Death on Two Legs, White Queen (As it Began). All amazing, little-known stuff
@Threevihate If this song were famous, it wouldn't be "yours". I would love my family and friends to appreciate it as much as I do, but it's at least as gratifying that it will always mean more to me. :)
Well said. Yeah I'm 16 and I despise the majority of Contempory music. Kasabian is the only group I actualy like but even their no match for the music we had in 50's - early 90's. Rock needs to be rock, not this flimsy indie/ new wave crap we have nower days. And what ever happend to soul and jazz for that matter? Now it's all just Untalented prats who shout "yeah" and make suggestive hand gestures whilst wearing a cap the wrong way round and sunglasses indoors to a computer generated racket .
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thumbs up and copy it . DONT LET SPIRITS OF ROCK&ROLL DIE
@JordanEvans3794.... I know you said that that's a good thing, but that's only if you actually Like them. Queen is so far superior to the B's that it does sound a little insulting.
Just b/c you love Queen doesn't mean you feel the same ab the B's, despite wh their fans might think.....not by a long shot! Personally, I think they're the most over-rated group ever, and Queen, the most under-rated.
Queen is absolutely out-of-this-world spectacular!! Just listen to this magnificence! Pure Genius!!
@FREDDIEFREAK9 yeah man i understand, ive been listening to queen all my life... my dad went to see them at wembley he was lucky enough to get a ticket and he was right at the front... i think brian may is the most underrate guitarist ever :( i mean i look for stuff in bands i like bands which can perform better live than in the studio... so i like queen and acdc and iron maiden... queens older stuff is much more nicer to listen to than the 80s stuff how didnt it make the greatest hits album ??
This song is just so incredible...but I do need to ask, am I the only person who thinks 5:41 to 6:05 sounds A LOT like the ending of Bo Rhap? I've never seen anyone else point it out, but I've always thought it's pretty cool that they sound so alike there. :D
Depression is being a guy considering THIS real music, and living in the age of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. I've been listening Queen since I was 5 yo, and I'll keep on loving them till my last day.
@legacyband When I saw their greatest singers list and saw McCartney and Lennon (not that they're bad) above Freddie I was like "well... there goes their credibility"
@legacyband They also put Kurt Cobain (#11) higher in the greatest guitarists list than Brian May (#39) Carlos Santana (#15) and David Gilmour (#82). I'm sorry, but Cobain was ok, but I do not see him as the eleventh greatest guitarist of all time.
Also, it's funny how Rolling Stone magazine can call a magnum opus like this "horrendous", and then go and nominate an exponentially less complex song, Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone", as the best song in history- and also put his voice higher than Freddie Mercury's...
@cammeoh I have to agree wirh you. Bob Dylan has a weird voice and likely was under the influence of drugs. Queen were not under the influence when these songs were recorded. And Freddie has an incredible vocal range.
this is my favorite song on the album but i got dissapointed when i found out the lyrics contain satanic messages but with no doubt i love the the piano at 1:17, the melodies at 0:51, the marching drums at 0:44 and 1:38, the solo at 2:10 and 1:38, the bells at 2:37 and the amazing bass at 4:13 musically it got me hooked
@alicecooper19isback Freddie is great at making songs that cannot be explained. I always picture the Black Queen as a very strict and arrogant woman who is the leader of something. She seems to have total control over her lovers. It gives me a feeling of an evil power, but it's a good feeling. The Queen II album was very black and white in color. I always picture the Black Queen and the White Queen as opposing forces. Not enemies, but just different walks of life. I never get tired of this song.
first time hearing this song, i went to my queen heaven. this is without a doubt Queen's best song. currently on my itunes, it has 678 plays, over 400 more plays that my next song!
@ficolossale That's right. Even Robbie Williams was wondering how the hell Freddie came up with the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody! Some poster was arguing with me the other week that Queen weren't lyrically great at all. I guess they don't know the classic Queen songs because songs like this one are beyond comprehension. It's art!
Something about this track as a Queen fan since 1975, I've heard most of what they've done. It is one of the most creepy songs I've ever heard, something subliminal which breaks me out into goosepimples. 'Sympathy for the Devil' by the Stones has a similar effect.
In middle-school, as my classmates drooled over Peter Frampton and the Bay City Rollers, me and Brian were in the choir-room during lunch-hour spinning Queen discs. Queen II especially confused them, they just didn't get it, so they'd waltz around the risers and make fun of us for liking it. Losers. I've no regrets. My early (and continuing) love of Queen inspired personal professional musical pursuits awa a lifelong love of music of all kinds. Thanx, guys.

Funny how love is everywhere just look and see Funny how love is anywhere you're bound to be Funny how love is every song in every key Funny how love is coming home in time for tea Funny funny funny oh Funny how love is the end of the lies When the truth begins tomorrow comes Tomorrow brings tomorrow brings love In the shape of things That's what love is that's what love is// best progression ever, next to fairy feller and nevermore !!
I was watching a documentary about Bohemian Rhapsody and well it was Brian showing each part of the song from the piano track to the drums.... I would love to see a documentary on this song. Would be great.
MOTB is different to BR but it is an indication of the absolute ground breaking amazing talent of what has to be one of the worlds best bands ever......
@Katlinke Well it's like me I keep think about doing a show with me singing songs by lots of different people and well I don't know what it is but there are songs which require much higher notes than Queen songs and which are maybe considered harder to sing but yet I feel I'm not going to do a Queen song because I would be nowhere near Freddie. Freddie was a God who walked as man.
So if the Black Queen sounds racist, does MCR's Black Parade sound like the million man march? For those who are patient enough, they will understand once they see the names of the other tracks that there is a theme and nobody is trying to be rude. Besides, Freddie was born in Zanzabar (I believe it was), South Africa.
this is an epic song, but if they played this on the radio do you think people would get annoyed as the name sounds a tad bit racist, anyhow rant over great song
From 0:38 to 0:44 it kind of souds a bit like Death on two legs =D.
The March Of The Black Queen and The Prophet´s song are by far one of Queen´s best song, they should be more known, they deserve it, they are as great as Boh Rhap...
How nice to see so many Queen fans over here. This band is, and will always be, my absolute favorite. Shame I couldn´t enjoy Freddie alive as he died when I was 11. Would´ve loved to see one show live. I started liking them when I was 10.
Genius. A great example of Freddie toying with unusual song structures, unusual time signatures and unconventional modulations, which gave birth to Bohemian Rhapsody soon after...
Well this is just perfect! I was lucky to hear this on the radio the other day but the only disappointment was at the end the radio DJ didn't say anything about it. Hedidn't say well that's one of Queen's most underrated songs.
Oi, Beiber and the rest of you so-called singers/performers....try and come up with something as fucking awesome as this then. You won't even come anywhere near it,ever!! Long live Freddie. Long Live Queen. Long live their music!!

Rock music in its lyrics often talks ahead of the time about what's going on in the country.

I actually like that this song masterpiece isn't that widely poupular. We true Queen fans can have this for ourselves.

@55022RSG Only the idiots who perceive every little thing as racism. Besides, they had a song called "White Queen" on the same album so, yeah.

Why haven't they made this album into a stage musical???
This Album is better than "A Night at the Opera".

Best queen song ever!
