  • her 'core' may be working but in actual fact, is it? the answer may well be no! the fact that she is not maintaining a neutral alignment of the spine means that she is possibly putting excessive flexion on the lumbar region. watch carefully, see how her lower back towards the full range of the rollout begins to dip? this is a cause for concern! i think this activity may be a little too advanced for her and she should possibly spend a little more time strengthening her core before the rollout!

  • @Damien091186 Every spine is individual which means that the natural curvatures of the spine is different on everyone. Some of us may have more of a lordotic curve in the lower back than others, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the transverse isn't engaged and that the powerhouse isn't engaged and working to stabilize and strengthen. Hence, it is very difficult to make an analysis or judgment on how much an individual's core is working, merely by viewing a video clip.
